Why have kunos not included real cars in this game ?

I don't understand how a developer that supposedly loves cars is wasting time on brands like Ferrari
when they should first and foremost be implementing era defining cars such as the pontiac banshee and the Pontiac stinger.

If anything it just goes to show how out of touch kunos are with cars and the sim racing community.


"to the edge ! the excitement edge! Pontiac will take you there!" says so right in the intro music. Just name one other car or brand that takes you to the "excitement edge"... You cannot, that's because only Pontiac with the stinger can.



The banshee, Its called that because when you have a car like the banshee you forget about women.

Pontiac literally "banned" "shee" can you blame them, I cannot because I'm already at the excitement edge and if kunos were not so busy putting all the wrong cars in the game you could be to.

lastly unless Assetto gets a 80s synthesizer sound track at launch then I'm putting in for a refund.

Are you kidding ? Don't you mean "how come some cars don't come with a hose?"

Not having a hose in a car is exactly the sort of thinking that leads to simulators like AC not having real cars like the Pontiac stinger.

 

I don't want to crash the forum when peoples minds are blown by how good the Pontiac stinger is.

I also don't want kunos to delay the next up-date when they realise how foolish they were for not focusing all effort on the stinger.

But if they change their missguided plans now, the Stinger could get faster in the game. A dirty car would be in the past, you can wash it right after the race in the pitlane. All thanks to a build in garden hose.

Why did they had Ferrari licence, but not Pontiac licence ? IDK. But you can ask them in these terms.
Before you ask them, I have a question for you :
Do you think more people want to drive Pontiacs or Ferraris ?

Because they thought Ferrari are real cars.
I admit, I didn't drove one yet, so I can't confirm they are real.
I've seen some of them, even touched one, so I believe they're real.

I fear that though kunos are able to produce physics that are about on par with Hard Drivin, they are still unable to implement the hose to an adequate level.

If they had prioritised development on the hose instead of messing around with tire models we would have a far more believable and marketable simulator to play.

Its just sad that no one in the community spoke up about it, but here I am ready to put my name on the line to set things right for the benefit of everyone.
