XB1 Xbox One Update v 1.14

What caused delay? Is patch currently at your or Microsofts hands? Some kind of timeframe you're expecting it to be out?

At least first 2 of those need answer in this point. Patience is running out and this is becoming joke, apologise only annoyed me as there could have been reason for this also.

 

If they were allowed to tell you a reason then they would; do you guys really believe that Kunos enjoys sitting here looking like an *****le?

There is plenty to be upset about, especially with the xbox version, but at least use a bit of common sense while raging.

 

At least they could tell us is it currently with them or microsoft, for sure that is not secret. I think there is no question about them messing up it but you would think more info about situation would be good. No problems with other games giving information like that, Project Cars for example.

 

Please link me to the pcars explanation; I don't recall that. Hard to find any info about the consoles internal QA testing because of the NDA's that are sanctioned.

 

Not going to search now as I'm watching Le Mans but they kept forums updated with patches. When they sent them to microsoft, if it got rejected and estimates when next thing happens depending what's going on.

 

I chat with a few of the Kunos devs and the only info I can extract from any of them is that it is out of their hands and they can't say anything about it.

 

Then things have changed or it's not same for all. This kind of situation is not nice at all for customer, and probably many others too.

 

I feel sorry for you Xbox guys having the pain of this wait, then the indignity of the poor response from Kunos
Having said that, the update doesn't really live up to expectations ! Sure, you can customise the grid, track, laps, assists etc, but if you want to change your car you need to back out of the lobby and re enter it, no going to the "garage" so to speak and jumping into something else. Then there's the track setup. If you want to change the track, laps or whatever you need to abandon the room and start a new one from scratch ? Why does it need to be this way when we could, as a lobby host, change cars, tracks, settings etc on older games such as GT5 years ago ?
Sorry, but if you're hoping the new update will bring a new lease of life to the game, prepare to be disappointed !

 

it sounds like it's been setup for league racing.

 

It certainly feels that way ! Problem is, if you run a league and have more than one venue per day (sprint races for example), you need to set each lobby on an individual basis and get the driver's to hop lobbies at every change of venue.
I'd love to be able to get my friends back into AC to enjoy some league type action with them, but they've all abandoned the game due to the long wait for custom lobbies. Then I have the issue of joining a public lobby and being rammed off track by the idiots or not being able to join the more mature rooms due to password protection, so can't build up a reputation to join their league.

 

When on May 24th Casillo wrote " it's going to be 2-3 weeks more, at least " for the patch to land on Xbox, I hadn't paid much attention to the 'at least' bit. Now I see that portion in the sentence actually carried a lot of weight. It's almost 4 weeks now since that sentence was written, more than 1 month since the PS4 version came out and, apparently, there's still nothing in sight, not even clear, good and rational reasons for what's going wrong.

If at least they said what is causing the problem, the wait would be easier. Facts are important for rational grown up people. Saying "I'm sorry, I talk to you when I can" is like underestimating the intelect of those they are addressing to. I'd like to know the ground on which things are standing rather than just reading speculations here and there. It's a pity it's been like this.

 

Tuesdays is normally update day. Doesn't look like it's coming this week either. Information is getting less and less, and the soons are coming more and more.
It's a shambles.

 

I don't think that tomorrow the update arrives, honestly. The problem is that they are leaving abandoned Xbox, think, the support that is given to a game is one year, The important updates I mean, after that time, the game dies. Assetto started in August, everyone who draws their conclusions.

It's been a shambles for months. It's just taken most people far too long to see it. Even the long term defenders are saying it now. Enough is enough. It's a failed product. A victim of short sightedness, little appreciation of market expectation, and even less appreciation of after sales support. Like Lancia, it's a great looking product, it just happens to be a badly constructed unreliable rotting mess.

 

After 1.15 they can stop support but I want to buy the ready to race dlc.
It's not our fault that they can manage to bring this update. So far they didn't say that they do not support the Xbox one anymore.
But it would be very nice if whe can count on the words from last year. Or a statement if they still working on the Xbox one version.

 

What the hell is going on there? How there is no info at all what is situation with update? No news, nothing. If they are trying hard, they are forgetting their customers who would like to know what can take so long from frist time you targeted to get it out in end of month, I think that was 2 or 3 months ago. I bought the game because friend that believed that 'soon' speak and said that lobby system is coming soon, it was january. That's my fault believing stuff then but honestly I'm not happy at all how this thing is handled.

If there is not much you can say just say your last 'soon' failed and when is new 'soon' going to be. Online is pretty much dead I heard yesterday, I have not been there in couple of weeks as I have gotten enough of those limited options and same races. This game is so good base for what could be great, so please don't abandon it.

 

Answers are definitely needed considering we are still here waiting, hoping to get some sort of update to make this a playable sim. If xbox is to be abandoned then thats fine, TELL US and compensate us for the money we have spent. A free Steam code or PS4 code would be the right thing to do. Its actually borderline criminal how much they charged us for this game. Im definitely doing my research before i let this company take my money for any future releases like AC2. And a word of advice DO NOT BRING AC2 TO CONSOLE UNLESS ITS A FINISHED PRODUCT!

 

NO GAME/RACING SIM IS EVER A FINISHED PRODUCT FROM DAY ONE! Blame Microsoft for all your troubles, why don't you go on there website or call bill gates to see what's going on instead of giving the Devs/community members another BullS##t Headache. ''Bordeline criminal''?!?! the price they set is reasonable considering the experience you get and the fact that they have improved on the physics/DLC to be up there with the PC version. Do you really think a Dev/505 member is going to listen/appreciate silly posts like yours?

 

I've just joined, though I've been watching here for a while.

I got the AC a while back but it was this year. I've been putting together a rig to drive mainly this game, although I do have F1 2016 and Dirt Rally also. I've mainly been using it to hone my skills and beat times, I love the Hot lap challenge on this forum also.

Whilst I would love to see the update and new track etc, I don't mind waiting, am really enjoying myself with it right now. I hope xbone will continue to be supported, and look forward to when this update finally lands. Keeping the faith...

 

Blaming Microsoft???? What's going on with you. Do you know the reasons for the delay. To blaming them whe need to know why the update is been rejected. And even in the case of pcars the delay was no wonder because the game at that time crashed very often. If you and interested go to the forum and you see the issues and bugs.
The current Xbox build have saving issues. How knows if they solve the problem.
So whe should call MS and say they should let pass updates even if they maybe broken.
