1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Your favorite cars from the new pack?

I was waiting for RX-7 from the very begining, and driving it yesterday on Nordschlife I couldn't belive this is for real in AC...
This DLC is mind blowing, every car is spectacular! I hope we'll get some more Japanese car in the future, I would really like to see some legendary Mitsubishi EVO IX, Subaru Impreza STI and others.
I hope Kunos will keep this quality over quantity policy, and they will not turn in some Turn 10's titles.
And I would really want to pay more for a such DLC, just to know Kunos can license more cars in the future, and expand their staff!

Let me add that the "Theme Dream Pack" is a very nice idea. The dream packs before were mixed bags in terms of content. They were also great but the idea of buying a pack with a certain category makes it nicer somehow.

Also, I think the JPack will attract new racers to AC because it contains pretty much THE legendary Japanese cars in amazing quality. I mean...if I was to pick the 5 greatest Japanese sports cars it would be those from the dream pack.

  3. Word! I would have gladly paid double the price for this dlc!
We're kinda short on official tracks, maybe, and I really can feel the difference between the ones made by Kunos and the mods in terms of grip and overall feeling.
But yeah, I'd rather have 5 cars in AC than 150 cars in any simcade.

I will agree with you, the first thing mentioned by my friend who bought AC yesterday is "There isn't much tracks in here", he was comparing with iRacing.
So I think yeah, Kunos should focus more on new tracks as well, hopefully they have everything to grow in this terms. The AC popularity and recomendations is getting bigger by every year.

  5. If I may add my 2 cents, they should not force themselves to laser scan everything, one of the tracks I love the most is Black Cat County, even tho it's fictional. More fictional road courses, more! :D

More tracks are always going to be welcome, it's hard to get across to someone outside of the likes of iRacing how much of a difference the laser scanned tracks make. I still feel like I've a lot to learn on just about every track. It took a while to get an appreciation for the likes of Monza or silverstone. It's the depth of the content that makes AC great. Just as you think you've figured something out all it does is open up new things to learn. I've gotten the the stage I can put in fast lap times, I can be pretty consistent, but I'm let down by not managing tyres correctly, or just plain forgetting that the tyres are disintegrating with each lap. There always seems to be another level each time you progress. That's just something that's lacking in most "games" that people play.

  8. Pick a favorite? Too hard!

God dam*! Such a fun pack! The Miata surprised me. Very fun to drive. It shouldn't have surprised me, but it did none the less. The GT86 is cool; got cool factor. Not a racer, definitely a drifter.

The 370Z; a good car. Good model, good handling. Other than that, I walked away with no impressions on it. Spent only like 3 minutes with it. The styling really doesn't speak to me, so I guess that's why it didn't really get me going.

Supra is facking awesome; and the sound man, the sound! I can't get enough of that Inline 6 Turbo man! Fun to drive! Rear will step out, but easy to reel back in.

The RX-7 is great as well. Good sound. That rotary sound is cool. It doesn't get me really revved up, because it's kind of tinny, but that's accurate. So it is cool and different. Handles very good of course.

The GTR--the ICON--sounds great! I couldn't get enough of that engine. I sat their for a full minute or so just revving it up and dropping it; listening to the straight 6, boost, and blowoff. Then I held it to max RPM and launched it. Damn fun.

Handled as you would expect for an AWD. A bit of understeer. Fun to drive. Such an icon. I feel like the model might be a bit off. The hood seems to have too much curve in it. Anyone else feel that way?

I haven't touched any of the Stages yet :)

    Fantastic job Kunos!

Original MX5 had (passive), don't know about version in game. But I don't get that sensation in rx and r34 either... Not complaining, I was just curious how will it be in game at it is first thing you notice in cars with it when you take your first medium fast corner

  12. It should be very easy to spot. Skyline for example felt really weird to drive at first just because of that. Realized it myself during first ~3 corners. Stock RX7 I haven't tried yet so cannot say anything about it. Only tried the Tuned one which has stiffer bushings.

could be .. as I said I don`t get too good FFB in AC .. it might be on my side .. anyway thanx for responeses I`ll try to invest more time into those cars and AC, perhaps I`ll read them better after that

  14. All this talk of 4 wheel steering... couldnt help it :p Also the rear steering doesn't seem to work on live axles, needs toe arms to work :)

Got boost by gears working too, really neat feature.

  15. Tried both once again.
To be honest the effect in RX7 is not huge and might not be easy to feel. It propably is just a tad more agile when changing direction (for example the slow chicane at Vallelunga).
Skyline on the other hand is an obvious one. You often have to not countersteer but to decrease your steering input during mid-corner because the car turns much better than you expect. It's still feels kind of weird. :)

To me it feels like the Skyline turns better when you're giving it a little power, which is counter-intuitive to me. But then again I usually avoid the AWD cars in AC...
EDIT: ...meaning I don't know much about driving them ;)

might be it :) .. it is weird feeling indeed .... like oversteer with perfect rear grip :) weird in real life, weird in simulation -> clearly SIM.VALUE is set no 10+ ;)

  18. Two more Japanese Pack cars tested tonight, and I am still impressed. The Toyota AE86 Tuned feels a bit like the AE86 Drift after I have tweaked the setup, except that it is a second quicker @ Vallelunga Club. As for the Mazda MX5 ND, I can understand why so many people enjoy driving this car. The default setup feels really nice, and I can see it getting a lot of action online. Well, assuming that we can get 90% of the racing population to look beyond GT2, GT3, and GT86! :p

The tuned AE86 feels a lot like the Escort RS, which is not surprising at all. Lightweight RWD, solid rear axle, revvy 200hp 4-cyl, RHD... I wonder how they would fare in a race?

Lot's of "magic" happens on that car. When you go a little bit on power, it understeers, and when it does the ECU (ok the various active controllers we use on the simulation to do as in the real life), gives a signal to the rear wheel to turn in the opposite direction to eliminate the understeer... at least on the slow to medium turns. all complicated... strange feedback and you can imagine why all of this happening in real life could make people love it or hate it.
