1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Hi guys , just a quick question.
    Last night i take the toyota gt86 in zandvort and I did a full practice session (arund 50 laps). My best time after disabled the traction control was 1.07.6. I'am not a newby and in iracing i take around 1 second and half from the best.
    I check in the world record session of the RSR live timing and verifyed that a lot of people lap in 1.03 and 1.04!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:)....... so where is the issue ?....ok for 1 second and half but 4 second is a loooooot....are they running in a different version of Zandvort from the one included in the last version of the game?.... or is it a problem of the shifter ?... currently i am using the old g27 with paddles behind the wheel....thank for the answer

    Were you using semislick tyres? Also did you use the optimum grip preset? I imagine those semislick tyres will be starting to wear after one or two laps so if you did 50 or so in a row your tyres would have been very worn!

    You could upload a replay of your best lap to YouTube and post here so people can help you better.

    Yes, yes i use semislick tyres....but we are talking about 4 seconds difference........ in fact i reach my best after 4 or 5 laps..
    What you mean with optimum grip preset? I ve to specify that i don t modify the set up....(Tyres pressure and so on ....)

    You should be able to see here. I have highlighted the session tab and then the track grip preset itself in green. Here it is set to dusty. Set this to optimum which is 100% grip. You can see the current grip during a session from the pitbox menu along with track temp etc.

    trackgrip1.jpg

    [DUSTY]
    SESSION_START=86
    SESSION_TRANSFER=50
    RANDOMNESS=1
    LAP_GAIN=30
    DESCRIPTION=A very slippery track, improves fast with more laps.

    [OLD]
    SESSION_START=89
    SESSION_TRANSFER=80
    RANDOMNESS=3
    LAP_GAIN=50
    DESCRIPTION=Old tarmac. Bad grip won't get better soon.

    [SLOW]
    SESSION_START=96
    SESSION_TRANSFER=80
    RANDOMNESS=1
    LAP_GAIN=300
    DESCRIPTION=A slow track that doesn't improve much.

    [GREEN]
    SESSION_START=95
    SESSION_TRANSFER=90
    RANDOMNESS=2
    LAP_GAIN=132
    DESCRIPTION=A clean track, gets better with more laps.

    [FAST]
    SESSION_START=98
    SESSION_TRANSFER=80
    RANDOMNESS=2
    LAP_GAIN=700
    DESCRIPTION=Very grippy track right from the start.

    [OPTIMUM]
    SESSION_START=100
    SESSION_TRANSFER=100
    RANDOMNESS=0
    LAP_GAIN=1
    DESCRIPTION=Perfect track for hotlapping.

    Your welcome :) It should look exactly the same in practice mode, just make sure where mine says "dusty" (I dont use the normal AC launcher but a mod version called content manager instead, so it is set to default I guess which is "dusty") yours says "optimum". A rule of thumb but I think you can expect to lose something like half a second on a normal length track with every 1% reduction in grip. So if you are using "green" which I think can be as low as 94% grip you could expect to lose around 3 seconds or so compared to optimum grip.

    and yeah, you cant beat a good old TVR :D ...at least in the sim where it cant break down!

    mmm... what you mean with "green"..... sorry for the stupid question

    The smaller green box in my picture above. That is where you adjust the grip preset (just click in that area ingame.) All of the options there adjust the grip percentage but have names like "old" "dusty" "green" "fast" "optimum" just make sure you select optimum for maximum grip. Doesnt matter if you are in hotlap mode or practice mode you can still choose your grip preset before a session.

    ... If you want more info on those track grip presets, in the post above where I included the image click the spoiler under the image titled "track grip preset".
