1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Zonda R general feedback

Hi guys, I've done quite a few laps and noticed few things about Zonda.

The rear wing adjustment goes up to 14 or something like that but using anything more than 9 just induces understeer. For fastest laps 2-6 is ideal or maybe 2-7 at Mugello. I think higher wing values should be more usable but heck I've never drove the car IRL so I have no idea.

Using quite alot of camber(-3.8, -2.6) the I/O temperature difference on softs is only a few degrees if you don't overheat the tires, if you do overheat the difference does increase to 10 degrees or so. I think this difference should be more than just a few degrees but it depends where the temperatures are measured. I guess older sims like rFactor are using the surface of the tire to measure, but I think I've read that in AC it's measured more in the core of the tire so I guess the more you go inside the tire, the more even the temps should be...?

Car has natural tendency to understeer but then on the exit it likes to just snap. It feels quite heavy...

One issue I have with the car is that only in this car FFB just seems delayed(lagged) and not direct enough. Very hard to be precise specially if you use the inside curbs that are off camber and it often leads into a spin.

I really hope we get the "canned FFB" this Friday :) It's a must for this car! ;)

    Any other opinions welcome!

The default front ARB is quite stiff. Loosen it and the understeer/heavy feel will disappear. To avoid spinning on curbs, play with the rebound settings.

  5. So, according to Top Gear, Zonda R stops from 200kph to 0 in 4.3 seconds.
A member from Simracing.pl measured times in AC:
hard tires - 3,7s (ABS), 3,6s (no ABS)
medium tires - 3,7s (ABS), 3,5s (no ABS)
soft tires - 3,7s (ABS), 3,4s (no ABS)

    That's quite a big difference.

Yes, there is quite a big difference:
    Top Gear Test > Airfield
    Simracing.pl test > Racetrack

There is a big grip difference ;)

  7. I don't think Top Gear based this number on their measurments, but on data provided by Pagani.

I found lots of posts in the net which say 200-0 in 4,3 0r 4,4. But as always, no one says if it was on the street, a ractrack, or a parking lot.
I would be one of the first which says this car "stops to fast" if i could really proof it. But as long as i don't know all the facts i won't criticize Kunos.

And the Pagani Website tells us nothing about that :(

I think in real car you never really use 100% of the brakes, due to the weight of the pedal. I dont know how brakes are exactly simulated but having done many laps with it, I would expect such braking power in a monster car like this. I mean look at those huuge brake discs:eek:

Brake bias also can dramatically shorten brake distance and time. Not to mention type of surface etc., again unreliable data to compare. I think most this data and tests are done on roads, airports etc so you cant compare.

Kunos having all the telemetry data and not just number im sure making the brake strenghts realistic is one of the easiest things and easier to test as well, there is no reason they would want to make it easier and unrealistic. I dont believe in conspiriaces :)

  10. It's not a road legal car, most of the time it was on track, so most probably it's been measured on track.
