1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

MULTIPLAYER Update 0.6 - MP & Ratings Rebooted

    I Find that if you bump into a car it seems ok if a car hit you side to side that's ok (or a decent simulation) but if you get hit from the side your car always spins in the same exact manner and there is nothing you can do, a small hiccup i think

    Not my experience I'm afraid. To be clear, I obviously have no experience of how these cars would react in even the smallest collision, so it may be that a spin is in fact a realistic and inevitable result, in which case it only feels fishy that this is always so often unilaterally expressed.

    EDIT: This is going a bit off-topic, so I'll just end by saying that I'm looking forward to re-establishing my 85+ SA rating come 0.6 release-day.

  6. I am also excited about the reset the ratings have made driving a lot more interesting than just going out and shooting for an outright fast lap. It just makes me feel like a more complete competitor. I have a terribly slow internet and l choose not to join multiplayer races because it would just ruin the experience for others, having the ratings gives me another metric to compare along with the laptimes.

    I just had 3hr race againts ai in paul ricard, SA dropped 83->44 without collisions :D When this happened, I was driving 1st, ai close behind. So the corner at the end of mistral straight, ai has inhuman cornering capabilities and gets really close (100 ai), right up to your bumper. After pit stops and no one behind, rating stopped dropping and eventually got up to 65 after passing some lapped cars. Guess thats the the penalty keeping faster ai behind, cleanly :D My CC went 97->98 and CN 86->94 during race, win some lose some :)

    my guess is that we are looking at the wrong end. When your score moves, there are always two parts invovled: what you do now, and what you did at the beginning of the "memory" - sessions that drop out.
    I try my best to make this subtle, and atm it looks like the new CC does it best - but the problem cannot be dodged, logically.

    Im looking forward to the reset. All my ratings are pretty clearly not working for a couple of months now. Its one of my favourite pieces of the game and its been pretty useless for a while now. Looking forward to all the updates.

    I would like to know if there will be some highlights when we gain one point in a rating.
    I mean, something like a +1 that appears for several seconds, even maybe with a little sound.
    And a the end of a session a little summary of what we have gained, or lost ?

    Yes, I'm aware that history also affects. But this is something so obvious, I can easily up my SA to ~95 running short races at Hungaroring starting last, passing AIs cleanly. But then on some other track with the specific circumstances, start dropping SA without any incidents. I've also noticed looking slowmo at multiple replays, that there seems to be car dimensions bug, AI thinks I have passed it and turns straight into my back corner, spinning me, even on straight line! Wonder if these are related as this SA dropping happens on places where AI tries to dive bomb me, maybe something that the rating thinks there was a collision, as it drops every lap when this occurs, and now my SA was going up before this race. At least now I think I can reproduce this quite easily.
    Anyway, keep up the good work, push for 0.6! Lets see if this is still happening on that update, and get it solved if it is, before 1.0 :)

    Thank you for the update on progress!

    You said that "the end-user experience should be pretty much the same" for the multiplayer. Does that mean we will still be having qualifying to race transitions with no warning whatsoever and no chances to make any setup changes? Currently the race start is quite erratic and is basically a puntfest.

    On a side note, do you plan on specific multiplayer functionality regarding online endurance racing? For example scheduled races like iRacing? Or will we have to rely on other means of setting up a proper 24h endurance race? :)

    There’s a clear example of someone who hasn’t set his wheel up properly yet. Which doesn’t take long at all. I have pretty much all the main sims and ACC has the best FFB, sound and visuals of all. To say that ACCs FFB is arcade like is completely *****ic. Just take 5 mins to make sure you have it sorted. On my CSL Elite it was a case of dynamic damping at 100 and a couple of tweaks on my wheel itself and it’s near perfect.

  20. For me also, ACC, besides other two that I have, has the best FFB, sound and driving feeling...absolutely superb!!! But, AI hitings....need to be improved!
