1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Considering the setup menu STILL doesn't have any contextual information such as what the various ECU maps are for different cars, I wont hold my breath on ACC Shared Memory implementation improving. Kunos has done a great job turning the game around physics are way better than in EA. That being said the UX is becoming the red headed step child of the game, It needs attention bad!

    I'l keep using the non-update CC anyway. My favourite part about it is I can ask how much fuel I need and what time is it? Playing in VR it's easy to lose track of time.

    Well that's disappointing news, but understandable. Although CC was a great addition to ACC and added another level of immersion, it was noticably inacurate and the lack of updates pointed to a serious compatibility problem.

    Thank you Jim and Kunos for trying to make it work and taking the time to make posts explaining the reason why it couldn't.

    I'll miss the spotter most of all in this case ... much better and less distractive than a radar and red arrows on screen.

    So is there a way to keep Crew Chief ACC just for this purpose ? ... this should be a nice idea. ;)

    Is a inhouse a la CrewChief something we can see in the future within the announced "more and more and more". Foremost in-race communication between driver and pit (refuel, tires, repairs, weather).

    In this regard, I am wondering if there is a way to match the pit stop time based on the in game time multiplier to allow real world time strategy since for now the loss in time during pit stop is heavily penalized when running out of the 1:1 time ratio.

    Really hope Kunos can seriously improve on the pit-to-car radio comms. Probably the #1 thing that keeps me away from ACC, because it forces use of screen overlays which kill the immersion.

    I second this, CC for me mostly is about the spotter anyway, and in this regard it seems to work solid. Can't Jim just disable the nonworking issues, leave an explanation in the options why they are greyed out, and leave spotter on?

    Could it be possible to keep at least the spotter function for ACC in future iterations?
    Driving without Clare would be terrible for me, as she acompanies me for many years in all possible racing games.

    Yes, please just add a statement, that ACC isn‘t fully supported and CC has known bugs with ACC. There‘s no reason to fully remove it imho.

    CrewChief even talks to me by my name, when he moans at me when I messed up the start.
    So for me best solution would be to keep ACC support as it is now also in future iterations.
    But Jim worries that CrewChief would look ****ty to new users because of the known issues.

    Jim makes the decision, but for us ACC drivers the current ACC integration should not be removed. I know about the issues and can handle them, but I really would miss the cheering up from Jim while driving.

    "Crew chief lite" with just basic things like spotter , with all the problematic features disabled would be nice. Understandable of course if thats not what they want to do but propably many players would prefer that instead of no support at all.

    I don't trust it as I've had a few incidents when it's said clear but the visual overlay is still showing the car alongside. To be fair I've not reported it as I've been using CC.

    Crew chief is simply a must have addon for us simracers! Better to have it in its current state that not having it at all.
    Another solution would be to get JIM work in Kunos team and let him work on built in spotter and communication system :)
