Did any of the pro drivers gave an oppinion about the long slides that Neils is not particullary happy about?

 

Try to avoid this subject in the forums, please. I don´t think it is the most clever idea to ask for something that has LEAKED in the official game forum where devs are the admins and you could get banned.

 

David perel in his gt4 preview video i think said something about over the limits behaviour and how this is where real life is bit different.
Personally as long as it challenging to similar or even higher level than real life i'm fine with it.
I can tolerate artificially difficult handling rather than way too easy handling *cough* rf2 *cough*

Note:I'm not saying ACC is artificially difficult,i'm not a dev so i don't know.

 

It was already specifically mentioned elsewhere that Imola is NOT coming to ACC.

 

What? When? Where?

 

Couple of other points he made:

At 24.24 - He said he had it on reasonably good authority that in AC the devs had added a rolling resistance with slip. But there is no data for this at all that he's aware of (other than some misleading data that if you look into is actually another effect). And that this might explain some effects (car bogging down and not accelerating out of slides properly) in ACC if it's present there too. (FWIW, Personally, I've noticed an 'unusual' loss of time with slight power oversteer on exits.)

27.07 He says that the torque/throttle response is wrong in many sims and it's highly unlikely that ACC's is right based on what he saw with a constant throttle and the accelerated increase in revs.

 

I noticed that the tyre widget shows 27.9 Psi for a GT3 tyre as over inflated. Did they change the tyre model or is it just an UI bug ?

 

That's right, this is the right way to behave, and then avoid many discussions, after .. useless to talk about anything.

 

Don't know if your allowed to give links for them, but if you got GT3 ones then the same place.

Guys but...
I have seen all the video, and anytime he says something may be wrong, he also adds he's not sure or he has no data to prove it...
Then he says you should not trust opinions about phisics.
I mean, he said he had no data to prove this slide he has mentioned (and i have not his problem at all) is wrong.
He also said brakes are probably under powered comparing the longitudinal g force data he has from real car.
But he did not mention if the data he has is from the bopped car or not.
You gotta pay more attention when you listen guys...
In practice he only shared doubts.
That is not even a review...

 

He also said the response of the power with trottle application was not like they did it.
But he underlines they dont know data about engine maps...

 

That's right .. but you know some feel or better, they only understand what they want ..

If the devs said that it's not coming then I'm guessing that comment also included the words "this year", which is totally reasonable. Continuing to sponsor the 2020 season, implementing 2020 season liveries and then saying Imola will never come to ACC does not make much sense to me.

 

Its buried in one of these threads months ago when Imola was announced. pankykapus specifically said it will NOT be added to the game. Its likely Imola will be a one off 2020 event at this point.

I'm sure should it be added to the calendar for good in the future they will reconsider but he was pretty clear its not happening.

 

That makes no sense. Zolder isn't on the 2019 and 2020 calendar either, so what? Racing series calendars change, that is nothing new.

Magny-Cours was also added to the 2020 season calendar by the way. That's two missing, if they add the 2020 season. Not liking this piecemeal approach if that's the way forward (same with the "British GT"-but-not-really DLC), that ACC contained whole season content was one of its plus points.

 

Search the forum, it's been discussed... People will give you a multitude of reasons why it's not happening even though you can already drive the chicane in-game if you want, just not race on it for reasons.

 

What you’re referring is to a 2020 release, thus why @pankykapus replied pointing to this year roadmap.
For next year and a possible 2020 season in ACC nothing was said, so it’s very premature to say anything at all about it.

 

Imola will not come out .. enough
If things change in the future we will see it
