1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

  2. Thank you @Nao
1:40.8xx (Pro mode on RSR conditions) using your setup.

Finally became a member of the 40 club! RSR record is now a 39.9xx, so that takes a bit of the special out of it, but whatever, a couple weeks ago I didn't think I would ever run better than a 42.

I also saw a 1:39:7xx at one of my servers, it's incredible what some guys can do with this car ^^

It's weird...it does seem there is nothing past 6600 rpm but I see no gain in the delta by shifting early

    New RSR record: 1:39:4xx

Now I feel slow again ^^

I think I saw gains, flatshifting at about 6.5k. especially 4th to 5th down the back straight.

The straight after turn 4 is the only part where I shift early, to gain all advantage from that little downhill. Apart from that like in real life: high revs for the miata ^^
Most gain I found first in my first tries was to stay in 4th between turn 6 and 7. From the deltas I saw, I think 3rd gear for turn 8 in my line seems to be wrong, because I'm losing about half a second in the last sector. Turn 7 and 8 are my weak point :(

  8. It is a shame that RSR is bugged and not showing the temps that were used in a session anymore.

pro temp for most I would assume.

yeah I ended up using 4th for a lot of corners, think I only dropped to 3rd for t2 and t4.

which alien is going to venture into 38's :p

Yeah its a shame cause it was done at PRO temps and everyone will assume not? Dont worry I will redo the laps once they fix the thing.

  11. I think they are planning to reset the board again once everything is fixed, are they not?

(and I am sure that @BenC would probably run a 37 if he was bothered enough to try)

Don't think he wanted to say that your time was tricked.

But so I can ask you directly now I know who let me look like a slow grandpa: TC on or off? And where did you find a whole half second in the last sector?

1.38 for sure is doable Michael.

TC off. Last sector is 4th gear all the way except T8. T7 is almost flatout if you cut it hard, need to use the whole track on entry too. T8 I ended up up going way faster than I could have imagined. The car just sticks once you get in the groove on the inside. Floor it so early it doesnt even make sense and the car will still be able to corner fine. I did keep a replay but I won't have access before I get home from work.

  14. This line going into turn 1; are you guys braking before or after it?

And does the weather setting affect track grip in any way?

Before I think... There is a white sign on the left side which I use for my break point. But I also saw different lines for T1, some insert fast and nearly out of control (like me ^^), some slower and tight to the inside. Don't think there is much difference as long as you get a good exit speed.

  16. I am lifting and then braking about a car length or so before it, at least when I feel that I did it correctly; but I'm really not sure what the fastest way to get through turn 1 is. The first turn and the last turn have me completely perplexed.

I can upload mine if it helps... its def not that great though. my inputs are hilarious in pedal app :p I agree with Phil that 38's are doable (not by me though) @henri takes seconds out of my best online daily, maybe he can get it into the 38's.

I cant see really where your car is positioned on my phone Michael, I remember it was important not to run wide there though, when I pushed it under braking I missed the apex and lost time.

  18. That pic wasn't taken at speed or on the racing line or anything, it was just to showcase the painted line I was talking about. This is the only combo that I am even anywhere close to being up to speed on, so it is fun to try to find out where those last handful of tenths are to be found.

Both are tricky and it's only some gentle braking I do. Exit Speed for last corner (when the curb ends) should be at least 140km/h, I've managed 143 once, but this was really one millimeter to from going into the gras ^^ First corner I also struggle a lot with my line, doing three or four laps ok and then in lap five delta says I found 3 tenth but I have no idea why o_O

Tried to improve my time also into the 39s yesterday, but could barely achieve my old lap times. Maybe I already found the limit with TC on. Or the 32psi ideal pressure I took from the 500 SS files are not right.

  20. 32psi and TC make no sense to me, but they seem to work for you.

It does kill me to see that the top time isn't even using an H-pattern though.
