1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic What is the status of the submitted update for November?

I guess they need to adapt then. That PC should wait for patches/dlc because console should get them at the same time is really stupid.

I'm confused by this particular comment of yours Erwin ? What are you suggesting, that it's Sony's or Microsoft's fault when a developer releases a game that has issues on their console ?
Surely it's down to the developers to ensure their software can run on the platform using development tools available to them from the respective console manufacturer. You can't expect Sony or Microsoft to held responsible for poorly implemented or missing features from a third party developer, all they're doing is allowing the software to run on their hardware through a licencing agreement and will have very little, if any input in the design or development of the game.
Similarly, online features are the responsibility of the game developers. Even though we pay a subscription for online play, it is yet again the developers responsibility to implement the features of multi player mode and Sony or Microsoft allow the use of their networks to facilitate online play. If Sony/Microsoft denied certain features of multi player play on any game then yes, you would have cause for complaint, but if the game itself doesn't allow what is expected of a modern console release, that's down to the developers of the software.

Nothing's wrong with the consoles, it's the developers that don't know how to optimise their code for them.
Take PCars. Developer has reached a cutoff with patches and fixes and possibly will never know or care how to fix the sound stuttering bug that's been there since day one. Which incidentally was blamed on one of the processor cores in the Xbox One. Funny, none of my other games suffer from it.

    There are trends here.
-People not only tolerating incompetence and sometimes arrogance, but openly defending it.
-People defending the shoddy business practice of "release now, might fix later if we can get away with bullsh*tting people for long enough".
-People defending software that lacks BASIC features and requirements of a modern racing game. Wake up, it's 2016 for chrissakes. Stop being blissfully content with mediocrity. That's what we have X-Factor for.

Damn right I'm intolerant. I didn't used to be, but I guess I've invested too much time and money in current-gen false promises to keep my tolerance levels up.

1- By "gen false promises" you are not refering to Assetto Corsa i suposse, because i dont know of any promise they have broken.
2- You are being intolerant with other people in the forum, not with the "false promises"

When the privates come, what will be the next thing to complain? Some features are a must in videogames. But far away from private lobbies or leaderboards, there arent more things missing that are critical.

How about some useful telemetry, tyres brakes. How about a cure for the stutter when they here's more than 1 car on the screen. How about track limits on the multiplayer.
There's another 3 for you pretty basic ones for a sim.

If you think this train wreck is going to be magically transformed by the addition of private lobbies, which is a feature probably older than some players, that's beyond delusional.

    - The game turns into a slideshow when someone lifts dirt.
    - You can't assign keys.
    - You can't move the cameras.
    - Penalty system is utterly stupid.
    - Some genius forgot to grey out the option to spawn at the pits during the races, which opens the chance to all sorts of exploits.
    - AI can't race for their lifes.
    - Car setups will disappear days after being saved.
    - Some cars come with absurd setup options (like a 4th gear that tops at 400km/h).
    - You can't remove HUD elements like the top mirror or the proximity arrows.
    - The lighting is SO painfully bad you can't see the road in overcast weather.

Just from the top of my head. If you are trying to say people are complaining for the sake of it, and not because the product is terrible, you need to get a grip.

You're probably one of these guys that get emotionally attached to games and companies and feel the need to shill. I'll refrain from making fun of that, I for one find it sad, so I'll just make a question: think of what would you say if a random new developer had released this abomination. Would you say the same? I know I would.

That arent critical things. Important, yes. But not critical. The game is still fully playable, private lobbies and leaderboards are the only things. I only suffer the stutter when the damage dial shows up. Track limits should be improved, but in the mayority of the races they areant a problem.

    - The game turns into a slideshow when someone lifts dirt.
We must be enjoying (well, not you clearly) very different games, because that never happened to me
    - You can't assign keys.
That is not a critical issue
    - You can't move the cameras.
That is not a critical issue
    - Penalty system is utterly stupid.
Should be improved (in Monza you can go 10 seconds faster if you cut the corners and do the penalties) but are far from being utterly stupid. They work
    - Some genius forgot to grey out the option to spawn at the pits during the races, which opens the chance to all sorts of exploits.
That is not a critical issue
    - AI can't race for their lifes.
We should be enjoying (well, not you clearly) very different games, because that never happened to me. AI is very good. Clean, fast, they reconize you always and with very few mistakes.
    - Car setups will disappear days after being saved.
We should be enjoying (well, not you clearly) very different games, because that never happened to me.
    - Some cars come with absurd setup options (like a 4th gear that tops at 400km/h).
We should be enjoying (well, not you clearly) very different games, because that never happened to me. I drove almost all the cars.
    - You can't remove HUD elements like the top mirror or the proximity arrows.
That is not a critical issue
    - The lighting is SO painfully bad you can't see the road in overcast weather.
That is not a critical issue

And you refer to that as a bad thing? XD I feel attached to the game because i like it very much. And i like the developer's way of doing things because i agree with it. That doesnt prevent myself of being critizing with some of their policies which im not agree with or point to Assetto's lacks. But im very happy with Assetto and Kunos in a very high percentage, also, knowing what the game at launch cost me and what are their resources.

As for you two, i recommend to sell the game and leave the forums. Clearly you are not happy with the game, and very difficult you are goint to be. You will be always pointing to some feature that is not in the game. Even games like PCars, with an absurd amount of options lack some features and have bugs. I prefer to enjoy the game and wait for new features to come.

Assetto Corsa lacks of many many features that with the time, should be added. Some of them very important. And is not worng to point them, in fact, that is the right thing to do in the forums. But i disagree completely with your attitude. The game is not a fraud.

  13. Why do PC personnel enter the consoles area? Some people say that we have a lot of time to criticize Kunos, cool !! Because entering an area that the platform is not the one you use and still criticizing the comments here, you should have plenty of free time to discuss and monitor what other people write here kkkkkkkk !!!! Just do not say what has to be said, because they would stop the post here, more than the will ....

  15. A lot of the users that end up in here (including myself, if you really want to call me "user" :p) do so by using the "New Posts" forum feature, that covers for the entire forum. So no, nobody is monitoring you, some of the guys have been here for 3 or more years and feel they have opinions to share that might be interesting.

Give a try on the assetto Corsa PC version.. then maybe you want be so much fanboy and see that the console versions are lacking lot of features and options from the PC version.

    I've played a lot assetto on a friend's PC..since the 1.0 version...
And for the moment the console version is kind of a early acces / demo of the PC version.

While the console version got a good basis (lack some of physics and tune and FFB options) it's still far away..

And for the moment, my friends ho got the PC version and me...Don't recomend other friends to buy the console version.
But we highly recommend the PC version.

It's the first "port" of a game that i see soo much differences between the platforms that it doesn't seem even the same game.

Hopefully kunos achieve to get the console versions near the PC version.. but it will be lot of work for sure.
