1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

So, here I was, thinking I'd found something to just idle my time, a minor amusement. I bought the game on Steam discount, not a great deal of money, something to just spend a few minutes on when I had nothing else to do. I drove the cars with my keyboard, smiled to myself when I managed to get the corners all wrong and span off, and generally thought the game was just a pretty picture.

I watched a few videos, read a few posts, and decided (because it was on sale) to buy the G27 and have a go.

    Night and day.

I get it now, I really get it. I've just put down the Lotus 2 eleven (probably my favourite), after a full hour of doing nothing but drive round and round Silverstone International. It's beguiling. I can't work out how the game is so real with nothing more than this controller and a few pixels. I've driven the real thing (both the car and the track), and its uncanny. The feel through the tyres as the car fights for grip, the whine from the gearbox as you bury the throttle, the kick from the curbs as you kiss the apex, its all there.

If I had any second thoughts about the cost, they are but a fleeting memory now. I'm stunned. You guys made one hell of a game.

Now that's awesome that you are enjoying the G27, I also bought one not too long ago and it is a gigantic difference, tricky at first, but love it and don't regret the investment.
Everyday I come home from work I just race on joux plane and enjoy the ride on the KTM, it feels so great, and perfect, its like driving in Orocovis, Puerto Rico back in my home town, I'm really enjoying this game as well

He said he drove the car, on the track - in real life, and that it feels spot on in AC. There might be other sims out there that does the same thing, but what matters is that we get feedback on how AC behave. And last time i checked, this is the AC forum. :D

And no, im not writing this in "serious" mode. Just stating the obvious. ;)

I actually know nothing about any car or track, you see i never join those "thought for v0.1 ??" "thought for v0.2 ??" "thought for v0.6 ??" "What actually will be announce in the coming Dec 25th" type of thread cause i dont have so call favorite car or track & i actually quite amuse by seeing most people are so exciting about that Dec 25th Nordschleife track announcement, i mean i dont know why i should so happy for that, to me its just "Oh that super long track ya, ok good" & thats it :D

By the way i have one question here that bother me a little bit after starting to play sim game; I see many people saying something like "Oh Kunos really nail this car ... the ffb is spot on & etc etc", i wonder whats this spot on mean ??

Is that mean you guys can really tell what car is that even though you actually close your eyes ?? I mean you close your eyes, i choose a random AC car for you to drive and then you tell me "Ok this is KTM" without actually look at the car that kind of spot on ??

    ## Yeah i know we cant drive properly with eyes close but a cam which didnt show the car at all should do the same trick ##

As mentioned above it means "perfect". So the original poster drove the Lotus on the Silverstone track in real life and when he drove it in AC with wheel/pedals he noticed that it handled and felt very close to the real thing aka it was "spot on".

This is something to be happy about since this is the kind of information all simmers like to hear. (well most, some like to argue about it apparently :D ).

How can you guys do this? It's disgraceful, if you have a question about his experience at Silverstone, what cars he has driven there and how long he has had on track, then ask the person who started the thread. If you were not having a go/being naughty then make sure your post does not come across as such.

To Fatum, great to hear your journey with AC has been fun, if rather expensive. I am fortunate and have had many wheels and Sim games over the past few decades and have to put NetKar and Assetto Corsa both at the top, nothing touches their feel, sound and immersion, P&G v3 comes real close but has the limits of Simbins GTR2 engine. The funny thing is this is still a developmental product, nowhere near the finished article, I'm really looking forward to the tyre model being upgraded again so we get flatspots on tyres, engine damage, etc etc.
