1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

A way to clean up the inevitable online server browser

    Just a quick thought for WHEN Multiplayer gets released...

    One of the things I hated about rFactor 2 was scrolling through a huge amount of reserved and/or private servers just to find one public hotlapping session hosted by my buddy.

    Have the devs thought of sorting the different server browsers based on different categories, so we aren't scrolling through 100 different "FORMULA-1.RU.EU PRACTICE SERVER 1 PASSWORD LOCATED AT..." servers?

    For example, you click the online button, and you get four options from there:

    Trackdays: Infinite Time Open Practice sessions with whatever cars & track the host decides on.
    Quick Fix: Lobbies that have Open Practice also act as Open Qualifying, with the length of the race restricted to either 10 laps or 10 minutes, the session proceeding to "Race" after X amount of people have registered a lap.
    Race Day: Lobbies that must have one practice session, one qualifying session, and a race lasting at least twelve minutes or 11 laps.
    League Sessions: Self-explanitory.

    Would remove clutter and easily help different players find what they're looking for.

    Anyone agree?

    AC's interface is all Javascript (with jquery and some modules for it) and HTML, and you can pop your own into assettocorsa\launcher\themes. Pretty neat solution to designing a UI actually, it runs the same backend as Google Chrome & Safari so anything that works there will work in AC menus.

    For example, the current online interface is assettocorsa\launcher\themes\default\modules\online. You can glean a lot from online.js if you know the language - eg. that there's a booking system, where servers will schedule races, and you click to book a slot on them, so it can join the race when it's ready. (it broadcasts the time of the next races so that shows in the UI). So you'd see something like:
    FORMULA-1.RU-ETC.
    - Practice | 14 min 37 sec remaining (this one would be counting down as you watch)
    - Qualifying | 10 min
    - Race | 15 Laps
    - Practice | 20 min
    - Qualifying | 10 min
    ...
    With the ability to sign up for whichever ones you want.

    I imagine people will modify it to allow filtering out race types if it doesn't already - Javascript's definitely got the power to hide or sort servers based on your preferences, so it's just a question of when it'll happen.
