Assetto corsa, th8a and autoclutch?

Was thinking about getting the TH8A since the time to get the SHH is so long (around october).
Could someone try how it is to drive without a clutch (automatic clutch in options) and H-shifter? I think its only working with paddles but im not sure about it.
a month or so after clubsport v3 is released I will pick them up if they get good reviews but I wonder if it would be possible to drive without clutch until then.

I think you should get a job before you waste any money on toys.

 

Do you want to test it out for me how the autoclutch and th8a works?

Works with TH8RS, just tested.

 

i guess it will work okay with th8a too then. Even if it for some reason wont, i can at least run gt2 cars with it for now. Should come in two days or so Thanks for taking your time to test!

 

Without removing the clutch from my control settings and just turning on auto clutch in assists
It shifts up fine but it make the gear grind audio when down shifting but it goes into gear.
It's kind of odd.
I'll look at it a little more in a bit.

I have tried some more laps
I set it up with no clutch peddle selected auto clutch on and it still seems to grind on the down shift.
I driving the RUF maybe Kunos has it setup that way.

 

Worked fine with BMW M1 for me. Brake, heel-toe blip, shift, no grind. Make sure that foot is off the gas on up and down shifts.

 

I have always let of of the throttle when upshifting/downshifting in h-pattern cars when I have been using the stick and also blip the throttle on downshifts so i guess that wont be that much of a difference. I can live with it for a couple of months.

 

Just got notification today that my SHH shifter is ready for despatch, should be here soon

I hope you like it when it arrives. I got my TH8A today, and its impossible to drive H-pattern cars without turning off mechanical damage so I can only use it for some cars but its okay. Give us a review of it when you have got it

 

Ah mechanical damage that's why the gears always made the grinding audio I never thought to turn it off.
I always play the damage on.
Hopefully you'll get your peddle set soon.

 

Yeah I will send a mail to fanatec later tonight and ask them if they will have enough to deliver at the end of this month/beginning of next. Dont forget your review when you have tried the THH!
