1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

When the DLC first come out, some of us won't be able to buy at that time, will we still be able to at least see the cars? Im in a racing league with some guys who have already purchased the content, so during our next race, will I see the cars or wont be able to join the server, since i'll be missing content?

    Thanks

I'm afraid it will be the second option.
Judging by how it is now with modded content and that KS set really low price for such DLC that's what it will be.
Apart from that the cheap DLC means more people will buy the base game and DLC, it should be affordable for majority of players with that price.

Ninja'd and nice signature Epocx. ;)

I think it's reasonable to assume that at least online you'll be able to race against people driving official cars you haven't bought. Anything else would be stupid imo. It looks like everyone will download the DLC with 1.1 and buying it will just activate it.

    Single player??? Who knows.

Well there has been no info about that. They might just include the models and liveries in 1.1, without physics. The accidentally released 1.1 beta had "DLC preview" entries in the car & track selection menus. That would make the cars impossible to drive, but still okay to race against in MP and maybe even to check out in showroom.

Only Kunos knows that. Still, would be nice to know before March 11th.

In flightsims with DLC you usually just pay to access the cockpit and fly the aircraft. Using the aircraft as AI or seeing the model in MP is usually free. I really hope Kunos have followed a similar model. It doesn't fragment the community and displays your DLC to those that aren't convinced enough to buy it...

Maps (tracks) of course you have to buy to use in any situation.

  9. Don't own the DLC, you can't join a server that is using the DLC...count on it.

You'l be able to see the cars & race against them same way you can play any other game like Battlefield for example where people with premium DLC guns etc can still be shot & shoot you etc .

It didn't come with the 3d models though, just menu item pictures. I wouldn't expect it to work online.

The 1.1oops1, I mean 1.1beta1 car would not have been able to go online, I believe. The game wouldn't have known what to load.

Knowing that it was an old beta, I wouldn't bet that it would be one way or the other. I personally think the iRacing model does a good job at allowing you to race against car models that you have not purchased.

  15. It took iracing 5 years to debut that feature Bailey.

Let's just say that I have it from a reliable source that if you don't have the DLC you won't be able to join a server that is using DLC content...I guess we will find out in a week how good my source is.

So if somebody who owns the Dream Pack can't run a GT3 server at Spa & have both DLC & none DLC cars running in it ? . In Borderlands for example i can play with anybody online in "vanilla" content while using weapons etc from DLC i own but they don't .

Come to think of it, I'll hold any bet that it wont work.

    This is no Borderlands ..
Remember that AC Multiplayer is very "new" and not the Xth sequel of a tripple A title.

Yeah AC MP is new but Steam security has been there & done this years ago . Tried doing things like dropping DLC items on the floor in-game in Borderlands to friends who don't own it & they can't pick it up . Quite funny in a cruel way tbh but that kind of security is there & has been for ages .

I'm not sure which way it'll go. It seems more likely to me that you'll have to buy the dlc to join servers with it, since that's how it currently is with all addon/modded content. What I'm really confused at is why so many people seem to be dead sure one way or the other. I don't know how much information beta testers get, so I can't comment on that, but what about this?:

Did you hear this from Kunos somewhere? Until they say either way this seems like a pretty bold statement, and a potentially harmful one in case people believe it and it turns out not to be true. You don't even have a hint of uncertainty there, so you either must have heard that somewhere (hopefully somewhere reliable) or, no offense, you're just making things up.

From the player's standpoint, it would be nice if you could race against dream pack cars you don't have, but to do that they would have to give you the car model/sounds etc for free and just withhold the physics data, which is basically just a bunch of text files and therefore really easy to just share. I'm not sure if Kunos is planning any kind of DRM to keep people from stealing the dlc, but even if they aren't, making people have to find the entire thing vs just a few text files would cut down the piracy rate a hell of a lot. It's much less of a pain in the *** to share some small files than what I'm sure will be gigabytes of car and track models, especially since they would to be re-shared between pirates after every semi-major update. For that kind of hassle I think 95% of people would just bite the bullet and buy it considering since it's so cheap.

  20. Of course DLC cars can be mixed with non DLC cars...but if somebody doesn't own the DLC they won't be able to join

I get that with mod cars, since you'd need to have files installed. But are we going to have the dlc installed as part of the base game, and then when you click on the car image from selection page, you get redirected to buy?
