Generic Car Setup After Next Update

Discussion in 'Console Lounge' started by alternatingcurrent, Apr 6, 2017.

  1. Anyone know how our car setups will be affected by this new update? The physics and tire model is going to V10, correct? So does that mean the setups we've worked on thus far will become obsolete?

Perhaps some PC players can chime in. After updating to the V10 tire model and physics, how were your setups from before the update? Were they still the same? Or did you guys have to make changes? Or were they completely obsolete after the update?

I thought some cars got the V10 tire model when they released 1.09 or 1.10? I hope they don't tweak the physics so much that it affects setups again, I just got used to the cars having less grip.

That's the smaller of the problems. Anytime I load an old setup my car has no brakes. I have to take screenshots and copy it all. If that crap happens again...

    It depends on the car.
Some cars need a very different setup (Cobra), others change less.
Most Lotus now have better tyre heating, the fronts before often ran on the cold side, now the temps are better which means the hot pressures are different.
Also the Lotus cars are more sensitive to on-throttle understeer.

The tyre app on PC includes a guide to optimal tyre pressures. Green = good pressure, too little makes the color transition to blue, too high to red.
Not sure if you have that feature already or will get it with the update, but this helps.

Even some cars that already ran V10 before have changed.
Also the cars are more sensitive to camber changes than before.

So prepare yourselves to maybe adapt your setups.

Like you said that is not the worst bug because this we can solve are self with a new setup I'm ps4 .
One big bug that border me more is when you start the game and you have no FFB feeling (t500 rs wheel on ps4) , this again can be
solved with a new start of the game but imagen you are just in a online race and this happens , Project Cars had a similar problem
with the grinding of the steering wheel on ps4 .

  7. Thanks this is actually really informative.
