Career mode

hello folks , need some advice .. In career , i can not turn damage and fuel consumption on , it says its on but is grayed out , in game its simply off and im not burning fuel and not using up the tires ... am i missing something (apart of the sim aspect of the game)... in custom race everything is fine ,

Click on single player, check realism settings (bottom left)

I didn't know how to change the setting for almost my whole first career. Until one day, for the first time, I went to the singleplayer settings and it changed the career settings too.

 

Is it required to do this everytime i launch the game ? Because i eas messing arround with custom race yesterday , will check this out later today ... i noticed that in the realism of the career i have dmg and tyre wear etc on “enabled” , but its grayed out , like when you have a demo of something and that option is there but unavailable ... anyway thanks a bunch Baboon

 

Was the same on my career, the options were grayed out. After I changed the options in singleplayer they stayed that way

 

This makes zero sense to me , because even tho greyed out , its still “enabled” but not taking effect... Anyway thanks a lot baboon , appreciate your help !
