1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

clutch to knob? I don't mean autoclutch but emergency ... or so

Probably a bit weird question, I confess
I'm using autoclutch for normal shifting so far no problem. (using Driving force GT which doesn't have a clutch pedal). But in some situations close to loosing control it's a good idea to just declutch and let it roll for a moment to regain control - sometimes it works, sometimes not. In that sense it's an emergency procedure, sure, I know.
That's reallife experience from the old days and I would like to try in AC as well (that 'Yellowbird' drives me nuts)
Unfortunately as fas as I can see there's no way to assign the clutch to just a knob.
However I'd be very happy if that worked.
Can you guys consider to do me the favour?

    Thanks
    Markus

I just tried a couple of things i use a T500RS but i plugged in a xbox360 pad which i assigned the left trigger as the clutch and everything else controlled by my wheel and pedal set, which works when pressed but the problem is you cant use the clutch manually with autoclutch enabled it just doesn't do anything, you would have to run full manual gearbox, then there is the problem of trying to get to that button and keeping control of the car.

Could use an analogue flight stick or something as the clutch if have one as something like that would be fairly easy to get to, but would need to turn off auto clutch assist as mentioned above.

    Thanks Steve,
yes that's my problem. I don't want to manual shift gears without a pedal but would like to use clutch anyway.
I Have another stick and even Pedals (X52 & Proflight pedals) for my flightsim, but it's nothing you can use as regular setup. I'd just need the clutch as a tool apart from the gearbox.

I though clutch to a button was one of those things the dev's have avoided as they have become a go faster exploit in other sims.

Yes you cant map a digital button to the clutch in AC only a analogue type input.

Yes *sigh* that might be the reason. Well then I have to go without it. It's just in the 'GT Legends' (and real life earlier) that clutch trick safed me a lot of crashes. I wouldn't know how to use that as a 'go faster' exploit.
But thanks anyway for your answers
    Cheers

this might sound weird and may not work.
use the x52 right next to the pedals and map the main stick to the clutch and you can use your foot. might not work too well...but for emergency it could I guess. depends on room you have.

Yeah I was just thinking something similar - the flight pedals are too big. I don't have space for them but there are several slides and rotary knobs on the x52.
Unfortunately as it's meant for avoiding a crash it must come handy very quickly - so ... I'm testing a bit. But it all depends if the clutch works even if autoclutch is active. Here in some above answer it says no but some friend of mine said yes it works. I have to find out myself.
    I'll report then

Ok I tried and yes, the clutch works even with autoclutch on but the extra pedal ist too far away to be really useful for what I want it to.
So being allowed to map the clutch to a button would be the only solution. But looking at it it's only the Yellowbird (and maybe the Ford Escort - not tried yet) require that trick so I can live with it anyway.
