1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Dfgt + upgraded pedals/shifter or g27?

I have a DFGT and I've really wanted to upgrade to a G27 once I get an income. Recently, I've been looking at Fanatec pedals and shifters, the low-end stuff though. Specifically the CSR (non-elite) pedals and whatever the cheap H shifter/sequential shifter is.

Would it be more worth it to upgrade the DFGT or get the G27? I'm just your average poor high school student.

I guess cheapest solution would be to sell DFGT and get a used G27.
However I think DFGT+CSR Elites + CSP Shifter is a much better combo.
Wheel is as good (or good enough) but pedals are much better (loadcell) and so is shifter.
Oh and do not even look at Fanatec cheaper stuff.

I don't think I'll have much luck selling my DFGT, the shifter is on its last legs. Makes a loud noise when downshifting and the knob has split in half so I've wrapped it in duct tape.

Are the low end Fanatec stuff really that bad? Seeing as the price after all of them are pretty much on par with the G27, they can't be horrible.

Well, besides being toy-like, most importantly they are not USB compatible, so you would need a Fanatec wheel to use them!

Oh crap, really? I'll probably go with the G27 then. Or maybe I could get a Fanatec bundle? I see a bundle with the cheaper stuff and a wheel for $300.

AFAIK the CSR Elites can be used via USB or at least there is an adapter. But there is no hope for the cheap shifters without a Fanatec wheel. They also offer a shifter that is as expensive as a whole DFGT that can be used via adapter on USB. I know because I have been looking for a value shifter solution, too, but I will probably just bite the bullet and buy a Thrustmaster TH8 for 130€.

The G27 wheel is quite good and although the pedals are not T500rs/fanatec quality they will see you through, the only thing i will say is I personally hate the shifter, it feels awful so i bought a TH8RS and its a thousand times better, but from a dfgt a g27 is definatly a step up.

Edit - I just read the post by @Queequeg above, and as you can see hes saying the same kind of thing, if you are planning on using a clutch and shifter you dont want a crappy shifter like the G27's.
