1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Ferrari 812 Superfast - does it feel like an AWD car?

There are a few cars I don't like in AC, but I never thought this 812 Superfast would be one of those. I was expecting it to behave in a way somewhat similar to the way the 488 GTB does, except for differences regarding weight, aerodynamics and other small peculiarities.

But it turns out this car feels weird, handling in a way that even resembles AWD cars - or maybe it feels as if fully harnessed by assists, although I have assists and TC all off. Occasionally, even the acceleration seems to falter, not responding immediately to inputs - as if there was a system operating to inhibit it.

These are naturally my impressions. I wonder if there are other people who found the same as me. Could it be possible this car is still not as intended (I'm on Xbox) and a little tweaking by Kunos is still necessary?

As a side comment, I also didn't like the GTO 84. I've never seen a car in AC understeer to the extent this one does. But I must say all the other cars of the Ferrari Pack (yeah, even the SF70H) are pure joy - the 330 P4 being the highlight.

i too felt that the handling of the 812 is a bit strange, but i didnt gave it a second thought.modern, over 700bhp cars are not really my thing, and i only drove it a couple of times.but like you said,i too feel the car is...stucked.
As for the 288 gto,i was pleased with it at first, but the last time i drove it (tried to do the challenge on Imola),i was schocked to see that i couldnt keep it toghether.i had to tune the setup to do some laps without going to the gravel.but im quite happy with it,one of my favourite ferraris ever.
As for the rest of the pack, well, enough was said about how great the 330,250 and 312 are.i dont have the grammar skills to add more adjectives to them!the f2004 surprised me a lot, never thought i could like it so much.its the sound i think, and the childhood memories it brings.as for the other car, which i refuse to mention :p gave it a go and its exactly what i thought it would be:hate it.but im sure kunos made an amazing work with it,its just that modern f1 means almost nothing to me (unless its in a full, proper game that recreates the entire championship, like F1 2017)

I don't know why you would think this, the 812 is front engined, the 488GTB rear engined.

The 812 had 4 wheel steering, so you're not wrong. However iirc it is different to other systems, the rear wheels only steer up to a certain speed, low speed like hair pins. This is probably why it feels weird and requires getting use to. I actually really like it, thought I wouldn't.
