1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Game size on disk is becoming an issue: stock game + dlcs is now 28gb

    Remember Richard Burns Rally? With the RSRBR 2015 mod it's currently over 35 GBs on my HDD :) And this is without any of the BTB packs and any additional content.
    Not bad for an almost 12 yo title, eh? :)

    How about X-Plane and DCS World/BMS Falcon then? :)

    It's crazy how big games have gotten, I remember when you'd fit a couple of game on a CD. I installed Wolfenstein, Rfactor 2 and Raceroom experience lately and everyone of them was over 25gb. I keep buying HDs with terabytes of space, and I keep running out of space. This is the modern equivalent of old man talk, "I remember when all this were trees".

    Amazon still has Cyber Monday deals going on. I picked up a 1 TB Hybrid drive and 256 GB SSD this week. Perhaps you may be able to pick something up?

    As mentioned BF4 is 58.1 GB and Battlefront with only 5 maps and just came out is 29.1 GB. Witcher 3 34.5 GB. Dirt Rally is 28.2 GB. Those are just a few which I have currently installed. Assetto Corsa is in no way a huge game in current times.

    Well yea games are getting bigger so 28GB is nothing. I rembmer when my old rF installation had 70GB, and didn't have current graphic.

    Wasn't there some kind of issue with the fact that some cars used duplicate models for things like the S1 / S2 versions etc? (which meant having to double up on the data)

    My main AC folder is 181GB; I have a folder of unused junk mods that is almost the same size at the 28GB for the vanilla game.

    Yeah they do, the issue is "to update one they have to change multiple files".. I think it's a relatively low priority but they want to improve it.

    True. @Lord Kunos , said in one of his streams, that they were looking for a way to minimize size of cars because of the slow internet in Italy and Philippines.
    Now he is back so no such need or maybe it became a lower priority or i just talk sh!t.

    Nevertheless, AC installation size is pretty average and i would say that with such content is pretty descent too.
    If they do it, sure we will save some space.
