1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Good or bad overtakings?

The first pass was just very poorly done and had the inside car not screwed up so badly the brake point it would have been a collision. If you enter a corner side by side then your meant to leave room for the other car outside you through the corner.

Seeing the guy completly missed the brake point he got away with it but the guy outside should easily have been able to get the position back but really made no effort. Very sloppy driving but inside car would be fine more due to luck and doing so badly then anything else.

Second pass not sure what the car was going so slow for but youd have probably been better off going around the outside. Again got lucky not more contact and the other guy was asleep at the wheel pretty much having no clue about the other car. You could have easily passed on the outside with the pace the guy had but then with him being in a daze or drunk passing either side there was going to be tricky.

I agree the first pass was not a dive bomb, but very sloppy driving on both accounts. The defending car should have easily zipped back past the other car but munched the gas pedal and went sideways throwing the car off line allowing the other car to maintain the position.

Second pass was a bit risky but I probably would have done the exact same

1st, late braking, probably in the way, start braking when you see the other one brake, which is in most cases braking too late as it was here as well. Went off track and thus should give the position back. Sure didn't leave space for outside car either, but at this speed didn't even need to since it got in front. Proper way would be to slow down when rejoining and return just behind.
2nd, made mistake, was being overtaken, didn't notice car behind, kept his car in the middle of the road and the overtaking driver went for the gap. Legal and a skilled driver has no problem to fit into this tight space.
