1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Need some help please.
Looking to buy a new computer, budget £300 / £350. (tower only, but with Windows 7 or 8)
PC will be solely to play computer / racing games as AC, Raceroom, etc.

I found the computers bellow, do you guys reckon they will provide a good racing experience. Would they be able to race AC for instance with high settings?

I know my budget is tight so if you know any alternative please let me know (United Kingdom).

    Thanks in advance

    and slightly cheaper:

Number 4 is £100 cheaper than number 1. Is the difference between them worth £100.00?

Which one shall I go for?

Probably too many questions but will really appreciate all help.

    Cheers

http://www.hardwareversand.de/ is a good site for PC components at a decent price. Payment is a bit of a pain when your outside Germany but if assembly is a worry they'll assemble it for something like €20 I think. Don't buy an off the shelf PC, always build.

Also , and please correct me if i am wrong, you should focus on 2 things. A "good" CPU that can handle a full grid , and a not so good GPU BUT with 2 Gb of VRAM, because , in my experiance, VRAM can be a limiting factor when you load a 24 car grid. With that kind of money you won't be able to have high visual settings, but it's very important to not be CPU botlenecked in order to have a good experience on lower settings.

    None of them.
You want to take a look at this, https://www.alternate.co.uk/html/configurator/builder/pc/page.html
here you can build your own pc. Like ody said, you need a good CPU, something like an i5 4460 or Fx8320. And you need a decent GPU, something like a low range R7. and 8Gb Ram. Don't expect that you can play with high settings. probably a mix of low and medium.
the nice thing about the configurator is that when you have chosen a CPU, it will only display motherboards that it will fit on it. So you don't have to do a lot of research on what combinations is possible.

a quick pro tip, never look at AMD, its cheap and unreliable, which is why they fry really quick and need a replacement.

    You are kidding us right?

If not, the only suggestion that I personally can give you - for a "cheap" and ready to go (I stress it cheap) gaming box would be:
    1. GPU (prefer Nvidia @ the moment)
    2. RAM (the more the better, but don't exaggerate it. Hm 16GB or if you will 32GB should be enough)
    3. CPU (here you can save some bucks, get the current median)
3.5 Don't forget to check or ask about the kind and stats of cooling and power supply!
    4. HD (simple sata should do its work)
    6. Board (well, just look that the board is not the worst crap out there)
    7. Hav fun (for some time)

Choose the best cost/performance ratio for each point and weight the costs as the order above (from up to down). That means don't be afraid to spend more for upper components for the cost of lower if you are limited in budget or need a guide for decsisions.

    Nope, unfortunately not kidding :)
Thank you for all the replies, I will have a look later on to all suggestions and will see what I find.
    Thanks again

  12. I feel sorry for the guy. He is obviously on a tight budget, but it's far too tight to get him a PC that is capable of running Assetto Corsa and other race simulations at acceptable framerates. I had a quick look at the PC Specialist website where I purchased my latest PC, and I reckon he will have to pay around £580 (including VAT) to get a half decent PC for the job, and even that requires him to keep his current OS and all his existing peripherals (monitor/mouse/keyboard/speakers etc).

Ok, hope you will find a good box that fulfill your needs.

But if you allow me another suggestion, don't ask other ppl. for what you should buy. It's not the best plan, because everybody has different views and budget.
Just make your own decsisions and collect courage n' go to the shop and get over and done with ;)

Good luck and all the best!

EDIT: I would not buy a box thru the bay (also personal opinion)

Heres a tip, when somebody lists a PC and writes
    • AMD A 8 6600 K Quad-Core 4x3 , 9 GHz PC ( 4x4 , 1 GHz turbo frequency max.)
They are there to scam you.

You should look at an Intel Pentium G3258 or Intel Core i3 CPU and atleast a 750Ti GPU.

    Quick look on ebay
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Speedy-CC...746?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item58b636f3ea

    From CCL so atleast reputable.

You can use magic jelly bean keyfinder to get your Windows 7 Key. Make a USB Windows 7 bootable ISO and install it to the PC i linked. Then use the key to activate.

Hm, I have an idea, since is a bit late and I have nothing else todo lets start a competition who can find the "best" - well, in the meaning of cheap but playable - cost/performance Assetto-Corsa box offer in the nets?
Ok, it's a bit subjective but who knows, maybe we can find a great goodie?
    Rules:
    - nvidia GPU
    - min 16GB ram (ok lets say 4GB minimum. ;))
    - Seller in Europe
    - serious shop
    - no fake sites
    - no ebay - sorry - (if possible)

The offer is on their eBay store, sometimes they have special offers on the eBay store because usually they use separate warehouses.

  20. This one is laughable, and borderline fraudulent.

Well a GT 740 is vastly weaker than a GTX 750Ti.
