Just got my 3rd screen, met with some quick questions...

I bought this third screen just to play racing games, and I think they work pretty well. I have most of the graphics settings on medium or low, and a single GTX770 handles the game really well. I don't know the exact fps, but it looks very fluent, and also without noticeable increase in fan speed. But I have several quick questions on 3 screen setup.

1. How do I change the fov in game now? Am I only limited to the default 3 monitor fov? If so, what kind of angles should I put the three monitors and how close should I sit to the monitors?
2. Do I have to use Nvidia Surround to have 3 screen gameplay? I feel surround is very disorienting when I just do daily work, watch a fullscreen video when doing something else, and play non-racing games.
3. I think I can still push the graphics a little bit more. What are the most demanding graphic settings that I should keep them in low or medium, and what are the least demanding ones that I can confidently set them to high?

I would leave reflections on low settings (they're a major slowdown), shadows are the other big one (may as well try it though as they do look better at higher quality). AA/AF aren't gonna take a big chunk out of fps so put them as high as leaves the framerate ok. Mirror quality should be maxed out, it doesn't make a big difference in fps but they do look a lot nicer.


If you don't use Surround you'll need to manually enter your resolution into the video.ini file (in your My Documents/Assetto Corsa/cfg) and stay out of fullscreen.


In terms of where to put the monitors & what angles to use, you want them as close as possible & with the monitors all pointing at you. That maximizes the fov available.

 

Its a good thing that AC has best 3ple screen support EVER then.

1. Make sure you have chosen the triple screen option in video options.
2. Bring up the triple screen up while in game and driving.... its there....
3. Take a ruler of similar and input all the distances the applications asks.
4. Win

Your fov right now is obviously warped, here is a picture of my fov after i did all the above.
If you follow these instructions you wont even have to move your camera while in car, its just perfect, well for me at least

Edit: Its best if you move those monitors as close to you as possible.
