When I finished reading it I had a little smile on my face, scrolled down to see the comments... first one: "Need BMW M3 E46!"

I'm glad that I don't have FB, but I think your statement fits to the whole Internet.

 

Ok this is my opinion. just getting it off my chest
Personally I think face book is the worst social experiment the world has ever seen. I also believe the stats on how many people use face book is massively exaggerated. Like ridiculously.
Maybe I'm from a generation where you don't tally up friendships like some commodity to boost status symbol. Makes my skin crawl.
Out of my close circle of friends. I'm happy to say none of them use face book. Even asking around work colleagues. The majority do not use face book.
sure, ask anyone under the age of 30 and it's a bit more popular.

To use social media as the ONLY means of advertising or spreading news is a massive oversight to the point of being ignorant.... probably as ignorant as i am about social media

 

What other way would you propose for Kunos to advertise or spread news? Remember, you need to be able to provide a source that is instant, reaches millions, and does so for free.

Its looking stunning, but all tracks got such detailed track. The grass/sand or trees were the problem graphically

Yeah, like this forum is any different. Just read this thread, half of it are people crying about Facebook.

Anyway, RSR operates all generations of M3 coupe, so it's not improbable, given that BMW licence is already in the game.

 

But they need to advertise it. New potential customers won't see it here.

 

I don't even see the problem with going to a fb link. You don't need an account to see the teases of nords if they post it there.

 

It's no different on facebook. Only the people who have liked the page see the "advertises". So why not announce the license deals and such on the home site?

 

Facebook works a little bit different than that. If you like a post, it gets on your friends time line as well. Also, there are a lot more people on facebook than the AC site or a sister site. You are way closer to a big crowd than on your site.

 

Ah! I skimmed over that, probably cause all other cars are allready announced and I didnt expected that a new car is mentioned in that way.
Kinda random announcement, hope it was not just a mistake they mentioned it in this context.

I dont think its senseful to post all these little things appearing on facebook on the homapage, either. But they could add the new cars (till now only the Ferrari LaF was added), tracks and features in the overview of the homepage. A big part of infos is spread around on facebook, twitter-accounts, the homepage and racedepartment and this forum.
Especially for new people it could be helpful to got a primary source with an overview of everything and less people ask if content x or feature y will get included.
+all the new things can convince people about AC, who thinking about buying a racinggame and not sure if it should be RF2, PCars or whatever.
