Need full damages

Hi, does anybody knows when and IF will FULL damages system be updated? In honesty i see this as the final feature i am looking for, everything else just works flawlessy for me and full damage is the ultimate thing needed for uber realism, so that we see no more unrealistic collision and unforgiving bad driving crashing styles...

a serious damaged car means you re out of race anyway, so let repair system be in with full damage system, but dont expect you can rejoin your race when suspensions or engine are gone and you find yourself in middle of the track! Busted!

Because cars break when they run into stuff.

 

Most race damage isn't repairable. Apart from body damage even light suspension damage would make your car uncompetitive.

It's not a priority.

 

Would calm down those bumper car idiots, if the cars actually broke down on impact.

there's some news about damages? In the last updates we had "minor" fixes (ok tyre model changes is not a minor fix, i know, but is not a core feature that we miss), but no words on the missing feature.
I think damages is a key feature, it will dramatically change the race experience (now, no one cares about his own car). It seems to me that we have new content but no new features (i mean, features that are basics for a sim like AC)

I have a cople of doubts for the collision too, as it is now it seems not good to me. What do you think?

 

I doubt it, they'll have the satisfaction of watching both cars come apart when they do it....

Repairable damage would be so awesome. Even if a suspension repair takes 3-5 minutes it would be worth it just to race and get points if possible. A wing (most likely damage for an open wheeler) shouldn't take too long to change. Of course we need pit stops for any of this.

 

I must say even trough there are some wreckers...As a bumper scraper, no matter how light touch it will send you both flying...

 

The only damage you could realistically fix in a race would be a front wing change on a single seater or removing crumpled bodywork on a tin top.

Anything like suspension would take too long. I must admit I'm not really an endurance racing fan so I'm not sure what sort of repairs are routinely made during a 12 or 24 hour race. Even so fixing most mechanical crash damage would be a long job.

 

For starters, I think damage that worsens the cars drivingabilities or puts it out of the race would be fine. Like the downshift and overrev (and turbo 98T) damage to the motor. None of it should have to be necessarily repairable at first, so adding these would take no visual chassis damage:

• engine (already in)
• gearbox (degrade in shifttime, skips gears etc)
• tyre blowout (already in if you crash hard enough, more like a wheelcrusher, lol)
• suspensiondamage (car doesn't steer/brake/turn as intended, loss of grip etc)
• electronics (ABS/TC malfunction, speedometer/revcounter malfunction, not able to set brake bias etc)
• brake overheating (locking brakes, maybe even burn up front or rear brakes)

Those are the main damage that could be implemented without visual damage and would make things much more interesting.

If any visual damage at all, just splitter and wing damage would do in my world. Maybe a cracked windshield.

 

its going to be in the full release...right now, i believe they are focusing on getting the game to run correctly.
