1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I've been running Win 11 for a while now without any issues. Then again, I don't mess around trying to break any thing ;)

So, it's been a while since I started this thread, and since Windows Update recently reminded me of upgrading to Win11, I wonder how the experience is as of today. Still nay, or rather yay?

Ok, I did a fresh install last week, and so far I don't regret it, as everything runs fine.

Got the new SSD, and was thinking, what a heck, let’s try Win11…

There is no obvious advantages to Win11, just bit nicer UI, with the cost of some annoying things that need tinkering. Sort it all, and started some performance testing.

There is loads of stuttering by default, so disabling full screen optimization is needed or use windowed mode in ACC. After that, it seems that under load (many cars, higher graphic detail), Win11 is showing around 10fps more (Win10=114fps, Win11=128fps). Oddly enough, when in hot lap mode, difference is huge the other way round, Win10=325fps, Win11=208fps. Waiting for new monitor to arrive, should be before the new year, but of course it must be late… Just wanted to prepare the settings for it :)

Tested only two other games, F1 shows same performance to the frame no matter the settings, and Hitman2 is 3-4fps faster on Win10.

Does maybe Win11 spreads the load better on more cores, but fails to fully utilize cores under less load…. No idea… Results are repeatable, still have old ssd with Win10 on it...

Any other experiences with Win10 vs Win11 ?

    HW is i7 9700K @ 5GHz, 32GB RAM, Radeon RX5700

No actual "versus" experiences. Win11 ran fine for me from the beginning, so I stuck with it. I like the thought that it cut off some old braids (removing backwards compatibility for outdated hardware etc.) and generally I like to avoid the situation the Win7 enthusiasts found themselves in not too long ago.
