PC vs Xbox graphics

I made a few picture for comparison.
This PC version at high settings, and the Xbox version.
As we can see at first glance looks pretty good.
But there are little things that spoil the version for Xbox, is a post processing, shadows, reflections, anti-aliasing.

I hope that we will get better shadows, anti-aliasing and post processing.

I love the graphics on the PC, but on Xbox it lacks accuracy. I hope that in the future we will get the patches that will make it a little better. Thanks!

 

yes on PC it looks better, but that surprised anyone or?
i think the Xbox One version looks fine, the Framerate ist ok und when i drive head to head to my friends i have no time to look out the window and count the trees

I'm currently quite happy with the grafics, more important for me are private lobbies, telemetry data and a free key assignment

 

You can't fix weak hardware with a software patch.

If you want to play the best looking games with 60 (or more) fps and high resolution you have to buy a PC that cost way more than a console. It was always like that. Especially that PS4 and X1 weren't as next gen as their marketing told everyone.

I hope you will get stable framerates though as this is pretty bad in a sim. By the way there are problems (from what I read) with it on current settings and you want even higher settings.

 

I think the only thing Kunos should and hopefully can do is fixing the performance and tearing. Obviously that is key. Maybe try to implement more efficient anti-aliasing, that would be very welcome on PC too. But to me the Xbox version looks fine and it's quite interesting to hear people say the Xbox One version looks crap, 'worst graphics ever' and like a PS2 game when it's really not that far off the PC version without mods, which already looks great compared to most simulators on PC. Whenever it looks weak graphically on consoles the very same applies to PC. The average Forza player just isn't used to games that don't come from multi-million dollar studios I guess.

Maybe over time Kunos will be able to work on improving the graphics universally and get more out of the console hardware, but I don't expect that to be the case any time soon, it's just not realistic for that small of a studio. By that time you're probably looking at the upcoming more powerful console hardware too. Though I'd rather want them to put resources in other things than graphics to be honest.
