1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Is there a way to start the showroom in windowed mode?

Try pressing 'alt+return' it should give you a borderless window mode. Other than that I have no idea, that works for me with two screens and allows me access to the taskbar. You could try adding -w or -window on a shortcut properties, but I do not think it will work.

Well windowed ... not sure. But I guess you know that you can load it faster when you run the .EXE for the showroom from the install main folder of AC. The problem is that this is a set combo - showroom + car and I think you can't change it. So if you are working on a skin this is faster. If you are browsing you must start the whole game.

Just set FULLSCREEN=0 in your documents\assetto corsa\cfg\video.ini file, and your custom window size via WIDTH= / HEIGHT=. Then launch the showroom via acShowroom.exe if your car is already set, or via an external launcher. Else, set it ingame once or via documents\assetto corsa\cfg\showroom_start.ini.

AC Tools CM has a handy part for skinning that is the Custom Showroom, but that's probable that it doesn't come with the latest version of that component (that loads .psd files in the latest version, and it's possible to associate with .kn5 files), so you'll have to search for the authors blog for the latest AcToolsShowroom+(v4). I'm really new to skinning, and if it wasn't for it, I'd have quit by now, because I was aligning curves (as in the front of both GTS-8 liveries curved stripe ending) and doing pixel by pixel stripe corrections by exporting a dds each time (with a 6 year old cpu, mind you), until I found it.

This kn5 previewer loads and monitors changes in realtime for .psd files in the skin folder with the same file name as the exported dds, so right after you save in Photoshop, the preview is immediately changed. Also, you can set it always on top in a smaller window so you can work your textures while looking at it (even if you have to ctrl+s a lot), like this I'm working on: pic1

  9. Wow, didn't know that. Thanks! Damn shame for me that AC/showroom will not launch at all on my laptop, where I do all my skin work...
