Sponsored assetto corsa facebook post

I've noticed the last couple of days I'm seeing a sponsored FB post for Assetto Corsa in my feed.

Not sure it's money well spent advertising AC on FB to people who already "Like" the AC page and regularly like posts by them when they come up in their non-sponsored form, maybe better to target people who already have already liked other racing games or have a lot of motorsport related likes and interests

 

This is how Facebook works. Not every post of AC page is reaching every page fan organic. To reach these and more people, you have to pay...

 

I'd strongly advise against advertising on facebook.

Not is it only very fishy and there is definitely some questionable activity going on with paying for likes or advertising, it's also completely useless to market a simulation widely, because people who would want to play AC, already play AC or are going to play AC.

Yes I understand how facebook works with regards advertising, when buying your adverts you can target your audience demographic by multiple criteria. I'm just thinking that people who actively already like the AC pages posts don't need to be targeted - as, by liking previous posts, any future posts by that page are more likely to display in your own feed without any need for them to be sponsored - better to target your advertising to users who haven't already liked that specific page or even specific post (as I did before it became sponsored)

 

It seems that the average simracer is an expert on just any subject.. We have to mix in in the marketing activities now to?

 

thats the Point, "more likely" but not everybody. Not every page Post reaches you organic in the timeline. If youre a page fan, you obviously are a potential buyer of a new DLC, but doesnt mean that your are checking the fanpage manually all the time. Most People like pages but never checking the site. And if you want to reach those potential buyers, you must pay for it.

 

just wanted Kunos to get their value for money - it's wasted targeting me
