1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Suggestion Mirror Adjustment

So I have recently turned my hand to open wheelers in AC. Just got 30th fastest around Imola in the Exos S1 too according to RSR yippee me :D

Anyway, back on point. Racing around I noticed that the side mirrors don't alway give me the view I want so I thought, 'How hard could it be to give us the option to adjust the mirror angles in AC?' I kinda wanna pull the driver side in and down a bit.

Just wondering how many others think that this would be a good addition too the list of tweaks to add to AC?

  3. It would be nice but since the mirrors are funky (you can't see your own car in them) it would probably be a bigger project than we think...and there are much bigger fish to fry IMO.......MP, damage, pitstops, etc.

  4. Unless we have proper virtual mirrors, this is actually quite important, specially when MP is released, way more than dynamic girly sky textures.

Yeah its good suggestion , no point having them if you can`t use them properly ...

I do believe they are kind of a 'trick' and less realistic than we may want. But I don't see why they couldn't allow us to control their angle a bit.

Yeah, the actual source of the mirror image seems to be ~2m above the center of the car facing backward, the different mirrors just use different parts of that image. Mostly noticeable if you drive up next to a wall.

Real mirrors would be nice but at least this has a wide enough FOV to show what's behind you.

I'd like proper adjustable mirrors, no doubt. As well as a proper rear/over shoulder view inside the car (not a hovering camera, 4m up).
These are wishes for improvements that I can live without, but would certainly make me appreciate AC even more. Especially when MP leaves the assembly line...

I agree. Also the cars in the mirror look so far away and are hardly visable at about 100 meters, even with mirrors set on high quality. Would also be nice if there was an option to magnify the mirrors to adjust viewing distance. So a selction to adjust left or right mirror to left, right, up, down, in and out (fov).

Much confusing for me at times, the AI passes on the wrong side of what the sidemirror projects, also a fix for the future.

a single virtual mirror would be good, to be able to edit its position across triple screens would be even better, this way my rearview is always in the same place whilst switching cars and seat position.

F11 will show the virtual rear view mirror. I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not. In case you are, I'm sure someone who doesn't know about it will find this helpful.

yes but it shows 3 mirrors with triples, one at the centre of each screen, here's a pic of where I positioned my mirror in iracing.

I think it's time to bring this suggestion back. With VR support, it should be possible to adjust the rear mirrors on the side and inside the car. In some cars it's nearly impossible or useless to use the side rear mirror because you can't see nothing important. It should be adjustable in every angle a few degrees, like in a real car. So it would be much easier to see what's going on behind the car, if someone tries to overtake. Thanks! :)

  15. Agreed!
Everything that makes it more immersive I think is a good feature.

Reminder! This is a very useful feature for VR, LFS has patched the game with adjustable mirrors ( https://www.lfs.net/patch-6q ), AC should to follow this example.

I've been told the mirror is built into the 3D model of each car so it requires a big design-change to make it adjustable, unfortunately.
The LFS design is excellent in every way.
