1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Would be good to know what Vram usage is on 5760 x 1080p.

    I'm seeing about 1.8GB on medium/high settings.
With sli 670's it's more a GPU bottle neck than Vram, though.

    re: 5760 x 1080
so am I right in 'guessing' with the highest settings, vram = no more than 3gb with Assetto Corsa?

Just did a quick test, at 5760 x 1080 it's about 1.9gb for me with high settings.

I'd think 3gb would be more than enough for Assetto Corsa.
However, If you're looking to upgrade, do consider that many newer games are starting to use 3 - 4gb Vram at such resolutions.

1.9gb. is that with spars grid x 8?

nope, just in game AA on 8X

Why don't you use spars grid as well. You have the power in the titans to run that as well in triples?

Would be good to know what vram is then. You'd think it is higher.

With my settings i can hit about 2.5gb on triples.

Interesting. Yet to find anyone who gets more than 3gb with AC.

My resolution is high enough that there's practically no visual improvement from SGSS. TBH the difference from 2x to 4x is small and 4x to 8x is negligible . No point in giving away performance for the sake of it :p

Running at 7810 x 1440 (bezel corrected) with 8x AA i'm hitting about 2.9GB. I suspect 99% of folk will suffer clock bottlenecks well before vram has a significant impact.

I can run a 5760 x 1080 test with SGSSAA if you like?

lol, i feel a war of the roses coming on! :p

    Fahim,

I just did a test at 5760 x 1080 with 8x SGSSAA, everything in game maxed out except motion blur which i don't use. HDR was on.

vram usage was 2.1GB but frames took a massive hit, as suspected I hit a clock bottleneck well before vram was maxed. I'd say assuming you have a 2GB card then you're hardly ever likely to get slowdowns in AC through hitting the vram limit.

Simon, interesting you're hitting 2.5 with lower settings.....

At the start of the supercar race I was using 1.7GB vram, settings as in my signature. At the end about 1.8. That's 1.4-1.5GB on acs.exe, 300MB on assettocorsa.exe.

Thank's for doing this guys. I don't know why I've been worrying. 3gb of vram is sufficient at any resolution it seems.

In fact in future sim race gaming it should always be enough. It seems... that games like Crysis, battlefield, skyrims, those type of games are vram hungry.

Racing games must be designed differently.
