1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory.
  2. FOR ASSETTO CORSA COMPETIZIONE: If you report issues with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder!
  3. If your game executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, then run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether.

not exactly sure why this happens, but i guess ai cars detect mine and slow down, even if they could easily move on without any trouble (as you can see my car is off the track). ai difficult was set on hard, happened on other tracks as well (such as silverstone, wellington straight, parabolica at monza etc. etc.)
i think this could be somehow related to another (known) ai issue, when faster cars are unable to overtake slower ones (think escort and carrera rsr against the old 500s). in some cases, they try to overtake, moving on the sides, but they brake and slow down immediately as if they needed way more room than one could think of to perform the overtake. just a guess, im not a developer. hopefully, someone might get aware of this, find a solution and fix it.

    LOL, nice one ! :D

wonder if it's the same on pc? or if we're dealing with an inferior/different ai due to hardware restrictions ?

Yes, it's the same on PC.
You can even make the ai stop so long that the car(s) behind you eventually retire.

Brands Hatch GP to stopped my car after the first turn on the grass , oceans of time and space for the AI to pass but no..... they stopped to , wanted to go out of the
car to tell them they could continue but than I realised I couldn't must be a small bug I think .

If you stop on the racing line they just line up behind you, very odd indeed.
