1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Why not save replays automatically?

After every league race, the chorus goes up on TeamSpeak - "I didn't save my replay. Can someone upload their replay?"

Why not have a checkbox option in the AC launcher that allows you to save all replays automatically if ticked? There's already a Save Replay button, but people often miss it, or forget to click it. The save functionality is already there; why not have an auto-save option?

Along with this it would be good to allow the size limit to be beyond the 1GB limit for people with more ram this could be handy, a possible option to save to disk automatically once the file limit is reached. This may cause an in game stutter if saving to hdd but as an option thats off by default this would only be enabled by those that understand it may cause a stutter as it saves to disk.

Maybe a simple option form in pit menu to save current replay so you could save it in game while in MP without needing to leave the server would be a handy addition to the replay for MP users.

Yes, Autosave would be a nice option.
Maybe AC should also automatically stop recording, save to disk, and start a new recording between practice and qualy, and then again between qualifying and race. Would that make any sense?

If I understood this correctly, at the moment AC records all of these in one single take and keeps the entire sucker in the memory the whole time, and it's up to player to remember to save it to disk when ever you decide to exit the server.

afaiks, acs.exe needs to quit for the replay file to be written, so doubt it.

As long as it would be an option, like the OP said, then why not. I have no need for replays and would not want them to stack up to some folder like it did/does in some sims.

Don't you think this could be added to Content Manager? If I'm remembering correctly, when you leave a track and it shows you your best time their is an option to "Retry" and I think one for "Replay" as well. So, perhaps the author could code in an option that does an Auto-Save?

I just checked. Content Manager already does have an option to Save Replays Automatically.

If you are using CM (You should be! :p) just go into Settings > Content Manager > Replays and it is the 3rd checkbox from the top. :D

Out of curiosity, why are the replay files so massive in this game?

In RaceRoom for instance, you can save a half hour long session in ~50MB. Do that in AC and you are 10x that if you use the full quality replay setting. How are other games replays so tiny in comparison? It isnt because they run at 15 fps like the lower quality settings in AC for replays. Im genuinely curious and baffled by this. Seems like some sort of flaw or bug since the files have always been so massive. Is it a compression issue?

It doesnt save them at 15fps its 15hz which is quite a different thing. Thats much like how you will see other cars in mpas servers shpuld mostly be set between 15-20hz.

You can compress replays and seems using winrar the files can be dropped down from 1GB to about 200MB so compression would help.
