Will career mode include mod courses in the events?

Ofc not!!!

But I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to mod your own career mode, with any tracks/cars/events you like! (if not by the start, certainly some time later)

We dont know about features not in yet. We of course dont know how those parts will work since we dont have them yet, or have had them explained.

But im with Kostas here, initially i dont think they will have mod tracks or cars since they build with official content. If they add tracks and cars that arent in the sim then people that dont hang around forums wont have a clue why their sim crashes when they come to a mod track/car. And making a disclaimer at the start of the career that people have to go here and there to download stuff to get it working seem a bit tacky - even if we who love and use mods wouldnt have a problem with it. Remember that mods are upgraded on an irregular schedule which means people not hanging around forums or use mods wont have a clue why the career stopped working.

So no, it wont use mods, but we might be able to tailor it ourselves when its out.

 

With the current content regarding cars and tracks there aren't much possibilities for a career regarding variety, while I remember about a tweet or facebook-posts from a dev, that the career-mode, will be more like a championship mode and less of what other games got as a career.
But if its possible to add mod-tracks and cars, there could be much more different championsships. Maybe they can expend and improve the career after 1.0.
PCars will probably have more to offer, for a "classic" videogame-career.

Forza 3 got more tracks, but it was still boring after a while cause the lack of variety track-wise. But with the tracks from our mod-section, you could make something really worthwile, in my eyes.

 

What makes a career mode interesting is good AI, and realistic championship rules, not just varied tracks and cars.

 

Real life motorsports career is not a fantasy story where you must enchant the participant and make him believe he's in some Disney movie. A career in motorsports is raw. You practice, you work closely with your engineers/team, make out plans for a race and plans for failures. You race the championships in whatever category, season after season until you retire. And then maybe you join formula-e.

 

^And if your daddy is not rich you will spend your career racing underfunded cars with less powerful engines, used chassises and suspension parts and used tires while the richkids drive around with brand spanking new tires in every session in a car tuned by group of paid engineers with the latest and bestest part from the factory. Only to have to stop racing because some richkid did not check his mirrors and put you in the wall ruining your car and bank account. Only to watch the neighbours kid to race sportscars until his late 60s despite you being faster but not enough to offset the difference in equipment. Or become glorified sim racing/real driving expert for game studios making the most realistic racing sim that rivals even gran turismos and forzas!

 

Career mode

Some notes on the career mode. It is modable so in theory you can create your own championship mod with Tracks/Cars etc...
