1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Every time I drive another sim, I am comparing it to AC the whole time. PCars is a massive amount of work but there is no magic. (all gravy and no meat and potatoes) I don't mean any disrespect to any of the guys that worked on it, but I get why Stefano doesn't want a bigger team too soon. With this level of detail and magic in AC, VR is pretty good now, and I understand the hostility of disappointment when we didn't get full VR support. It will be the best VR experience hands down when it is updated, is my prediction.

    I hope the console work is going smooth. You guys deserve a pay day.

    The problem is NOT that we don't get FULL VR support, the problem IS that we don't get VR support at all!!!
    From what I've read, my preordered Rift CV1 won't work with AC at all!! Sounds ridicolous but unfortunately seems to be the truth. So I can throw away my CV1 as soon when it arrives...

    I'm with you here. Maybe not throwing the CV1 away, but certainly not throwing the DK2 away. I'll keep it and use it for as long as AC works with it.

    Every driving game needs VR support in the future, because driving with Rift or Vive is so natural.We just can't think that when first generation is released that everything is perfect. There is still many things to fix/imporve but at least journey is begin on 2016 and there is no way go to back anymore...

    Have you played pCars with it?
    That is as close to perfection as you can get.

    AC will be so much better though, when/if it ever gets it.

    Yes, and i have to say that i like it.. I can't get DK2 work with AC with old runtime, so.... ;) I really want that we get proper VR support for AC, even i didn't vote for it...

    Well the poll is finally closed :eek:

    I hope it was an educating experience for everybody, it surely was for me :confused: Hopefully many people that thought their pet feature was going to be the obvious winner (myself included) got a different reality to accept now.. some of us will, some of us will continue thinking their opinion is somehow more valuable than others.. I have no sympathy for these people and I wish you a safe and quick recovery from your grandeur illusions.

    We lost a couple of users in the process, which is always unfortunate but this is sadly the situation we have to deal with when it comes to interactions on the internet.

    The good news is that most of the stuff in this poll is already under development and it should arrive in AC sooner or later, so there is really no loser.

    I'll try to keep the thread open to comments as long you guys keep it nice and polite... if this turns into trouble the closure will be inevitable.

    thx for all the people that voted.. it's always reassuring to have so many of you willing to interact with us, the only result that I didn't want to see was a winner with 16 votes :p .. luckily it didn't happen.
