1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

I hit a brick wall when I put my new components together. R7 1700x, Asus X370 Prime Pro and Kingston HyperX FURY DDR4 16 G Memory (HX426C15FBK2/16 - two sticks of 8gig) Together with my GPU and PSU.
When I switched it on all I got was the fans on, the HDD's spooling up, the MB and GPU RGB led's rhythmic changing colours in their support for gay pride. NO Bios screen, just a blank black screen. After trying all sorts of things (found in forums on the web)
My excitement faded and seeing that there has been some issues folks have been having, I was expecting the worst! Was it the CPU ? Was it the MB or did I stupidly get the wrong RAM by my dyslexia reading the wrong model number!
My son has recently put together his R7 1700x with the Asus B350 prime plus and when he upgraded his bios to the latest , the bios 0604, it bricked his MB, it has been promptly replaced by Amazon. So my fears were real that I had already blown my MB out of the box.
I borrowed my son's memory, also Kingston HyperX FURY DDR4 but 2 sticks of 4 gig. Hey Presto it booted. We updated the bios but no luck with my memory. We however did not go for the 0604 bios, for fear of cooking another MB so we went for the:
    PRIME X370-PRO BIOS 0515
    1.Improve system stability.
    2.Enhance memory compatibility
    3.Improve CPU temperature monitor function

    Still nothing with my memory.
So at this point I am packing the memory up and replacing it with a diffrent brand.

I thought I put this out here for the collective knowledge.
I will keep you posted on my progress.

Yes, in a german computer forum the same is reported.
RAM seems to be picky on the new Ryzen platform and BIOS 0604 on the Prime X370-Pro (I have this board too) seems to have made it worse compared to 0515. Luckily there is a collecting thread in that forum about the board which has all relevant things to know in the opening post, so I updated the BIOS to 0515.
My G.Skill Ripjaws 3200 doesn't run on 3200, but at 2933 with slightly lower timings. 3200 isn't supported well yet, but everything over 2666 is OC anyway. Even ppl. with 2933 or 3200 running on pre-0604 were down to 2666 or worse with 0604 BIOS.
It also depends on single or double ranked RAM, single usually runs on higher speeds.

BTW: I haven't tried it yet, but to reset the motherboard (had to do it once after failed OC settings) you need to unplug the pc (or switch the PSU off) and then use the reset bios jumper on the board.
Someone in the german forum said that you can get to the BIOS by starting the pc while holding the Reset button down until the Post screen or Bios appears.

  3. Would it not have been better for AMD to sort out these problems prior to release?

I think the 0604 is an Asus issue.

Basicly everything the caused errors, crashes or other issues was due to my OC, undervolting or other tweaks in the BIOS.

It ran out of the box without issues, so I wouldn't say there are many bugs for such a new platform.

And RAM is always a pick subject on pc's, not just with Ryzen.
Depending on configartion the official max. clock speed of the RAM like this:

I'm running Single Rank 2 DIMM at 2933, which is already OC, so there is nowhere stated that 3200 is officially supported.

Can anyone suggest a memory that will work on my system. I am buying it on the French Amazon (I live in France) and it will be the quickest to get to me. I will really appreciate your help.

It seems G Skill to be used a lot for the Ryzen CPU

So you are running on the 0604 BIOS?

No, 0515 BIOS because I read before updating that 0604 has issues.

Well, there are (IMO) only 4 brands available worth considering:
    Corsair, G.Skill, Crucial and Kingston
They are producing since ages, which is a relevant factor for buying a product.*

I was planning to get dual ranked (slightly better performance), but you don't find much about SR or DR in the spec details, so I just had a look at 2666 to 3200 DDR4 RAM.
In the end I decided on which was available and in storage at the dealer I got all the parts from, came down to Corsair or G.Skill. Decided to get the G.Skill since a) had G.Skill on my old pc and b) the same kit was already listed as working with 2933 on the Prime X370 Pro by a user in the other forum.

    *remember OCZ?!
They produced RAM, dropped out of it as the profits dropped, then went to SSD's and as they got cheaper dropped out of that too. I'll never buy from such a company that doesn't stand for longevity production/portfolio.

It Was the Kingston Fury X 16gig (2x8gig) that I had an issue with but not the Kingston Fury X 8gig (2x4gig) I borrowed from my son. I tried my RAM all sorts of ways, diffrent slots a single stick etc. and diffrent starting methods PSU off and putting it on with reset or power switches depressed .
With my so's RAM in a few moments it gave a beep or two and we were good to go.

For anyone looking for ram compatibility with ryzen, first of all you must go to the motherboard manufacturer's website and see the list of supported ram for that specific motherboard. Then if you want to achieve 3200 mhz you need to look for 8gb samsung B-Die kits and this is really important since many people reported that these kits are the only one able to achieve that speed without troubles. Shame ram prices are stupidly high and i was considering to upgrade to ryzen too, so i have documented myself a lot about everything before i decide to buy. I recommend sticking with these kits from gskill: F4-3200C14D-16GFX , F4-3200C14D-16GTZ, F4-3200C14D-16GVK , F4-3200C15D-16GTZ , F4-3200C15D-16GVK

Well, for 40€ or more extra for those kits I can say I'm perfectly fine with mine running at 2933.
I think 2400 to 3200 with low timings increased performance by 8-10% iirc, so 2933 16-17-17-36 to 3200 at lower timings will be what? 4-5%?

Yes 3200mhz cl 14 kit provides 5-10% more performance at best depending on scenarios and of course there is no point buying these kits for people already running 2933 mhz ram. My recommendation is for people looking to buy compatible/stable kits. There are also news and patches from amd about ram speed/compatibility coming soon in may

The one I recommended runs flawless on my pc and at least one more with the same MoBo I know from the forum (hardwareluxx) I mentioned earlier.
    That's why I suggested it.

Of course your's are good recommendations too if you're an enthusiast.
I'm rather looking at a good price/performance ratio, so R5 1600 and the slower RipJaws in my case.

I know about the new patches for May, I'm curious what it will bring to the Ryzen platform.

stupid question but did you try the ram in your sons PC? Did you try it 1 and 1? Its possible that the ram was simply doa.

Have ordered the 1600 and will pick it up in a shop this weekend. Looking forward to build a PC again, was too long ago.

At first I was going to wait to buy the CPU until next month, but since I already ordered the motherboard and memory its too much to see them on the kitchen table every day.)

I felt that 8/16 would be overkill to me, not doing any editing or anything like that. Im using a 2500k and dont feel that i actually needed a upgrade, im fine with what i have. I just wanted to finally upgrade to get it done. A 1600 was something good inbetween. I was thinking about a 7700k instead but as i said, im fine with my 2500k and 7700k would be even more overkill for the games i play. The reason 1600 feels nice is because of the motherboard that i will be able to keep and within a couple of years if i need more power, they have probably (hopefully) improved the next Ryzen cpus so i can upgrade on the same board. :)

Maybe im thinking wrong here but im happy with the decision so far. Cant really say that i did a good buy until ive tried it though.

Will probably do a couple of benchmarks in games i have installed so i can compare the results.

Most benchmarks out there can probably be found, but is it anything anyone want to see with the difference between a overclocked 2500k and a 1600, just let me know and ill fix it if i can.
