1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Sims like this demand a wheel. Just saying. You can contropl and steer with a gamepad, yes. But you miss the best in it.

The Bentley also has full wheel animation. I assume all their latest car releases have it. Cannot say when it started. Maybe with the Bentley. :)

Mantorp Park released. Second of the Swedish tracks, a third one, Anderstorp, is to come.

P.S. KTM XBow also has full wheel rotation. :D

Game update and the WTCC 2016 pack released. First is free, latter costs coins.

Nice to see in the readme that they keep on finetuning the AI.

Else, despite the AI and the flags, not much of additional interest in any of the two for me. Once you got a taste of the Audi TT RS VLN, you do not want to drive any other FW car again.

For this user side, they've fixed the Xbox One Controller problems and it's working great. I've ended buying the wtcc experience to add to my 2015 experience (steam dlc) for the missing tracks and new cars, given that finally I can enjoy R3E again on this system. Macau is amazing, but quite hard even on modern WTCC and their loose rear. I've found the 2013 ones running older physics much easier to driver between the walls, even if they feel more floaty they don't snap so easy as the >2014.

Slowly they turn Raceroom into an STCC simulation - Falkenberg has been announced. :D Fourth Swedish track in a row.

Meanwhile released Anderstorp looks and drives wonderfully, btw, with Audi TT Cup cars for me. They match these Swedish rumblepits superbly. Never going into a corner without chatting with another driver door to door. :D

I tried to get back to R3E but the ffb in it is still so bad that I just can't live with it and gave up. Shame really as it have some interesting content.

Do sequentially shifted cars (like GT3 and stuff) now all have autoclutch forced on?

R3E has become my favourite sim since the VR update. The FFB on the AccuForce feels really good and the AI can be quite a challenge. Personally i love driving the Mclaren 650S GT3 and the DTM BMW M4. I also like the way you can set up your own single player championships with all the custom rules.

Firing it upp today after a long break. Will do some hotlapps as usuall. About the FFB complaints, whats so bad about it? I have no problems with it at all and
it suprises me than anyone say its so bad that it breaks the driving. Check your settings is what I would suggest.

Raceroom wants to be highly adjustable, and it is, but at the cost of offering too many settings so that you can miss "your" ideal settings even when experimenting like crazy. They have overdone it in that regard, too many options. Less would be more, I assume.

I stick pretty much with default settings regarding FFB, and I like it. What I sometimes am at war with, is speed-sensitivity of the wheel's input, every couple of weeks I expeirment with it . :)

If you are back after a long break, you might not be familiar with the new adjustable AI. Have two fast races, with 4 laps only. Chjose your car. Then make sure you get in every race two clean first laps, the seocnd they say is the really important one. The computer will compare your laptime sin these two laps in two races against the AI laptimes, and do some base adjustement, you most likely will have one very easy race, then the computer scales up the AI level, then a much more difficult race, and at least me after that sees a moderate or small decline again, and from then on I am fine with the AI in that car class, on that track, any subsequent races see adjustments so small that I almost do not notice them, and I flow with the river of cars, and rub my doors against theirs. - But thats just the trick: two quick, short callibration races; clean second laps. And from then on the base callibration should be done in most cases . Much depends of course on your skill level, and since most people are much better and faster drivers than I am, it might be slightly different for you. With every race added to that car-track combo, the adjustment in the AI level will become smaller.

I'm not sure i agree i think the setting are pretty clear & easy to understand. i like having the options to refine the ffb i'm really not a fan of dumbing things down to a point that you lose features but thats just personal preference for me. But yeah FFB i thought was good out of the box anyway only had to reduce clipping a bit. I feel grip in this game more than any other sim the only thing i struggle with is the ai & i would prefer an aggression slider (more options ;-P).
I wish they were less anti-low down force low grip & was a bit more variety. thats what keeps me playing AC atm.

I agree, Raceroom in general has an inbuild trend for more grip, compared to AC. Partly that is because of the other focus on cars (series race cars designed to be fast but still grippy), partly that is I think due to the different physics engine: GT3 cars in RR and AC still do not drive the same, even if you compare identical cars. AC has more variety, more range in differences, more dynamic here, at the cost of sometime - in my subjective opinion - being a bit too loose in grip. Some cars in AC are such that I doubt that in reality they would get a public road or racetrack license - too easy to loose control and crash with them. But the vast majority of cars in AC does fine.

wasnt the grip level adjusted based on real racers input (on GT3, DTM and Audi TT)...them saying it is too low (well could be just part of marketing of course) ...

I should have been a bit clearer i was really talking about r3e & the communities preference for race cars, should of said 'I wish they were less anti-low down force low grip with the car roster & was a bit more variety. thats what keeps me playing AC atm.'
But yes also the tyre physics has more grip & yes i think this was from input of real racing drivers although I read that on another website, i couldn't find that info on there own website.
