1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Update 1.14 and RTR DLC impressions

    I want to know if wind feature is effecting only car physics by it self. If slip stream for the car behind will effect more if car in front has headwind?

    Wind should effect braking points, top speed and cornering - correct?

    Pretty easy to try it yourself. Take the F138 to Barcelona in hotlap mode, check your speed on the S/F straight. Change session to practice, set North-East wind with max speed, check your speed on the S/F straight. That was the first thing I did to check it, the speed difference was big, I didn't use KERS and didn't open DRS, so I'm not sure what impact it would have with it opened.

    And you can in AC depending on the car, strength and your position relative to the wind direction. Try driving some of the LMP with strong winds. It's less noticeable with light winds, as you wouldn't notice steady light winds in real life. You'd only really notice stronger changes in wind strength or direction (which is static within one session in in AC edit: looks like I'm wrong on that, but, there's no wind cover etc. so it's the same for every car across the track).

    Atleast in the sense you might be travelling faster it effects brake points (obviously) not sure if any other way. Anyway it makes the virtual track feel more alive regardless of how basic it is. We were racing at Barcelona today and in some sessions I was losing around 0.5 seconds down the main straight alone because of the weather!

    Wind is affecting aero (or I guess drag to be more precise), if I recall correctly. So it'll affect everything pretty much.

    You would need AI or to meet a buddy online to test if/how wind affects slipstream though.

    Seems fairly constant based on just delta. A consistent gain or loss when going a certain direction. Lap to lap I had some large differences in lap time but we were driving GT4 cars which are pretty alien to me so not sure 100% sure. I never saw the delta suddenly change mid straight though (as if the wind eased or got stronger.)

    Will people still be racing online ? :D

    Of course online racing at AB servers is unbeatable. But this AI is next best thing. Huge improvement.

    Just a heads-up about the hardware requirements listed on DLC Steam store pages @AC Support

    RTR DLC states a required minimum storage 15 GB available space, recommended 15 MB

    On the Red Pack store page it's minimum 15 MB available space, recommended 30 GB

    Rest of the DLC also vary, 500MB, 2GB etc. Guess it's supposed to be the same as the base game (15GB minimum 30GB recommended) for all of them.

    Its a constant force the randomness is just what the session start speed and direction will be. This would mean it can change for the start of each session within the min/max speeds and direction plus variation degrees. In the session however it will stay constant in speed and direction.

    I think it does really make you drive more by feel then memory assuming you have some variation enabled.

    I noticed the career does not have the option to set opponent's aggressiveness. I guess it uses the default value, would that be 0%?

    As I understood from my test... car on pit lane always facing North? So at any track, north is where car at pit lane stays

    Amazed every track in the world faces north, must be an illuminati thing.

    If that is the case matching to real world wind direction is a bit trickier, but at least it makes it easy to set direction you want without knowing the real world track orientation. Being rlative to the pit lane which is easier to visualise the direction it will end up at.

    One tiny question about the P1 GTR skin, also on modded skins there is no 'McLaren' small plate on the front/or the boomerang whatever their logo is, for that matter. I know sometimes it's not there irl either, but sometimes it is. Anybody?
