1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Weekly Hotlap #43 - Moving in the shadow

Welcome to the thread for Weekly Hotlap #43 - Moving with the shadow

    The Challenge.
    Car: Lotus Evora GTE Carbon
    Track: Vallelunga

    Assetto Corsa.jpg
    Assetto Corsa_1.jpg

For this challenge, i had planned the Toyota AE86 Tuned, but then noticed that the Toyota had already been used in another challenge, so i had to make this late hour change :p. And then, i found the Lotus. After the huge beating of the last weeks challenge, i think that a very submisse, grip lover, smooth breaker and overall a piece of cake car to drive is a more than a welcomed change for you guys (specially for those beaten up steering wheels some people use :D) After you start the lap on this car, you dont feel yourself moving because it's so smooth and fast. Not powerfully fast that every bit of the car shakes with the huge amout of power, but fast like slidding through the road. As it should; 420 bhp in a small and relatively light car does tend to create that effect. This boy runned in the American Le Mans series and even on the 24h of Le Mans back in 2011, with interesting results. Oh, and why the carbon version you might ask?Well...simply because it looks so damn cool!:D :D :D :p

    Assetto Corsa_2.jpg

Vallelunga would make on hell of a combo with the AE86, but it does too with the Evora. It's a classical track for GT cars, so it does match perfectly with the Lotus. So, we are back in a "normal" circuit, a track where the laptimes should be around 1.40m...unless the aliens have something different to say :p
    The Rules.
    Mode: Hotlap
    Time of day: Free
    Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
    Setup: Free
    Controller: Free
    Assists: Factory
    Stability: Free

If it isn't mentioned here then assume the setting is free.

Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, and that you are in hotlap mode, I really don't like disallowing times!

    The Deadline.
    Sunday August 13th - 22:00 BST (GMT+1)

    How to take part!
To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap and choose the Lotus Evora GTE Carbon and head to Vallelunga. Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple :) All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature and mode heading.

Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier.

A leader board will be collated on a daily basis to keep everyone up to date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

Feel free to use the unofficial leader board but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

Good luck and have fun ;)

What a relief after last weeks GT40. Vallelunga with the curves is good for your neck exercises. First go mid 1:49, second run 1:48:8
So when do the aliens set a 1:47? Don't know the limits of this car/track combo yet. Very curious to see it evolve over the week.

ABS on....without ABS it is a nightmare (for me)

1:47 on its way? But not today...maybe tomorrow...duty calls

    148353.jpg

Edit: these are my default car settings. In setup I changed not much, just fuel 5L, 24/26 F/R PSI

first 2x two laps (two flyers, setup change, two flyers) with 360pad (factory ABS/TC (2/3), no stability) couldn't be arsed to take out the wheel (yet?)

    upload_2017-8-7_13-18-11.png

setup is just lower fuel (15L), 24/25/26/27 psi (LF/RF/LR/RR) and two clicks down on camber front ... i lost 0.3s in S2 on the fastest lap unfortunately, this could have been a 47 already - i feel like a low to mid 47 is possible (if not for me then for someone else)

Today or tomorrow we will see low 47 or maybe under the 47 with no problem from someone i think ;), anyway i'm just near my limits, in this curves and with this car i can't easily find the right grip when accelerating

I totally agree with you!but most people seem to prefer toys, and i have to try to present something different every week.for me,it would be the Porsche 917k,then the lotus 49,then the Gt40 again, again, the lotus 72d and just to not forget it,the gt40 again :D:D.but most people (like me) struggle to driving them, and that takes away the fun from them.because i love vintage racing i have a lot of fun even if i barely keep the car on track, but most guys out there like the modern stuff better.so i need to try to find the balance to keep WHL interesting and diverse not only for a single week, but for a larger period of time:rolleyes:
