Only tested the MP4-12C, the P4/5 and the Z4, wich i find the most difficult among those.

I had made a video of a quick race showing the result under those setting above mentioned, I'll put a link bellow. Despite my bad driving skills and lack of any braking references , the game can be controlled perfectly with a PS3 controller, config can also be improved from the game´s menu (steering speed or gamma perhaps).

Please note:

Rumble worked correctly almost at all times. However, I´ve made a race before the one corresponding to the video. On the first lap I went off rack at Parabollica and then the controler started to rumble continuously, even after closing Asseto Corsa (game and menu aswell).

I don´t know if anyone else had the same issue, but with the P4/5 it's really hard to turn at the first chicane.

At minute 7 the controller disconnected after a big lag and fps drop, im pretty sure is because bug on of my PS3 controller driver, probably not related to an in game issue.

Same here. Bought the game but cannot play due to the silly fact you can have throttle only set to stick. So annoying!!

The main issue I run into with my gamepad occurs with tight, slow speed corners, Monza's first chicane and Magione's 5th turn for example. It becomes difficult to even make the corner in some vehicles. For my settings, I generally have to try to force the back end into a slide either under breaking or acceleration in order to get around these types of corners without running wide on exit.

Also, as has been mentioned by previous posters in this thread, controller support for menus would be a massive plus.

that actually car that has been lately almost undriveable for me (with the settings I use) is the Lotus Exos 125, ... weridly though, S1 version is great! (I suppose it has more downforce and better tires)

I comepletely disagree that traction or stability control is needed when using the gamepad, I set pretty competitive and consistent lap times with both off. ABS off is very challenging on the controller.

Particularly under braking and when going over crests of hills (e.g Imola). I actually find the 599XX and the Zonda R MUCH easier to control, in general I find race cars much eaiser to drive than the road cars.

The defualt steering speed needs to be much higher because otherwise you can't get round tight corners e.g Monza turn 1 or hairpin at Vallelunga at all because the wheel doesnt turn quick enough. Cars that have this issue should pop up with a message saying "We suggest increasing steering speed to X% for this track" as new players will get frustrated and not know how to solve the problem. This could lead to bad reviews by people not understanding why these cars dont work on some tracks with defualt steering speed.

Button mapping needs to accommodate for all buttons, I like looking around with the right analog. Sensitivity needs looking at for all areas too, but thanks for making such a brilliant and enjoyable game.

I was initially extremely disheartend when I couldn't control the car with my gamepad. Then I tried the gamepad default; thinking I would have to use the "Xbox 360 gamepad" setting and not be able to use both joysticks for my steering and throttle/brake, but that setting made my gamepad unresponsive. then I finally learned to do a custom mapping under "Wheel/Custom" and eventually got found someone else's settings that increased the Gamma and Filter and Speed Sensitiviy and I was then much happier. (And then I saw the graphics on the Lotus Type 49! OMG!!!! )

Please, improve and allow more force feedback options. At the moment, there seems to be no feedback from the gamepad, when there is wheelspin. Controlling traction is quite difficult, when there is no "feel", what happens with the tires.

6.a. Shifters: always need to configure to use Paddle Shift (buttons 6 and 5) or manual shift (buttons 13 and 14) according to the car.
6.b. Once this gamepad doesn't has clutch, in full throttle (at the game) when change the gear, the rpm goes like crazy at the max (belive that once using automatic clutch when changing the gear the game should ignore the full throttle).

6.c. "It could.. be less/more sensitive depending on speed and type of car. With fast cars it is hard to do tiny corrections with steering (when going fast) on straights (with controls set for tight corners as well).

regular road cars are not appropriate with a gamepad due to the huge rotation in comparison to the 40º of the thumbstick. Not an issue though, rather a limitation.

6. IMPORTANT:
Here you can share your suggestions to improve the gamepad support:
6.a. In comparison to XBCD/directinput drivers, the official x360/input driver profile/support of the game has more discrete feel for the thumb sticks inputs. Using XBCD feels like 33% better. Should have a look at xinput profile.
6.b. XBCD allows for split axis. Codemasters F1 2013 game has split axis with xinput.
6.c. It could have a more meaningful rumble feedback as others have suggested. Both xinput and direcinput rumble feedback seem to use the weight of the car body instead of the curve of the wheel FFB. Increase/decrease rumbling according to wheel weight would be ideal.
