The Challenge.
Car:Lamborghini Huracan Performante
Track: Barcelona Moto





A couple of months ago, i saw a bunch of great cars around one of Lisbon's most famous landmarks (Campo Pequeno). Old and new Porsches, Astons, Nissans Nismo,Ferraris,Lotus,you name it. Turns out,it was some sort of exposition.Even old police cars,ambulances and firefighters trucks were there. A company that offers,for a certain amount of price,cars to use on tracksdays, was there too.They are called RacingVarius. I don't want to do any publicity to them so i won't discuss prices and conditions.Let's just say that driving the Lambo Huracan on Estoril for 3 laps costs a lot of money But the guy i talked too was very nice and passionate about cars.And the mate black,red-striped Huracan that was next to him was,well...breathtaking.The idea of driving that beauty in Estoril has been hauting me since November.But i guess this is the closest i can do. At least for now



With obvious differences,Barcelona Moto is the most similar track to Estoril that we have. I've driven the Huracan around it a lot ever since November,and it's great fun.Specially that last sector,so much better than the GP version!


The Rules.
Mode: Hotlap
Time of day: Free
Ambient Temp: 26 Degrees
Setup: Free
Controller: Free
Assists: Factory
Stability: Free

If it isn't mentioned here then assume the setting is free.

Please make sure you have the ambient temperature set correctly, and that you are in hotlap mode, I really don't like disallowing times!

The Deadline.
Sunday April 15th 2018 - 22:00 GMT.

How to take part!
To enter simply head into the game select Drive > Hotlap and choose the Lamborghini Huracan Performante and head to Barcelona Moto. Make sure you setup the session using the settings detailed in this thread and hit the track!

You can run as many laps as you like and update your times as often as you like, its simple All Platforms are welcome, it is all about having fun and enjoying Assetto Corsa.

To submit a time, pause the game and select 'session' from the menu and screenshot this page or take a photo of your screen and post it in this thread - Note all the information from the screen is required including temperature, mode heading and of course the car being used!

Feel free to post video clips and share information in here as well, but without the session screen your time will not be included (placing the session screen in a video clip is acceptable).

You also need to state the time and your platform in the body of your post, this should be the first thing you do, the image should then be placed below the text. It would also be helpful to mark updated times with Improvement. This makes collating the results much easier.

A leader board will be collated from time to time, this will keep everyone up to date on where they currently stand...Unfortunately editing of posts gets locked on this forum so this post will not be updated.

Feel free to use the unofficial leaderboard but remember you still need to include the session screen in this thread to be included in the results.

1:50.355, PC, RSR Pro Settings.

Annoyingly RSR doesn't have the Huracan Performante in its database for some reason (that's what I use to show track temp and time etc) and I can't find a way within AC to show this data.

Anyone know how?

Iannixxenakis, I haven't played much on PC, so not sure if this solves your problem, but if you click on escape then the fifth icon down - it looks like this


you can see time and track temp.

It wasn't a very fast lap anyway so I guess I'll have to try and improve it and make sure I get a screenshot.

 

Yes. If you push the restart button too quick the time has been erased.

Amazing car, one of the best in the game. I noticed this track creates huge differences in the pressures across the 4 tyres, should one aim to even this out?

My first few laps of this combo I was using a stock setup (no avail downloads on the setup market), I adjusted all my psi’s and took some fuel out once I ran a couple of laps. Then I adjusted the camber and toe a little bit and went for a fast lap. I was able to set a 1:52.978.

It was only when I went to post my result I realized I was a bit off the pace. I finally realized I was using the slow tires

I was thinking that instead of a 5lap challenge we could just use both sets of tires for a bit of variety. Most cars handle quite differently on different tires, and I think that it might mix up the leaderboard a bit.

TLDR; can we have results for both sets of tires if a car comes with them?

Monday,day one...

Pretend Racer is the fastest for far,proving that the "pretend" part of his name is very misleading.And his laptime came with an interesting sugestion,i'll think about it!

Real-ChaosChris Xbox one , thrustmaster wheel, posting a 1.53.013 , I am leaving at least 0.7 sec on the track at corners 3/4 but after 38 laps and cramp in right foot I ain’t improving any tonight. If anyone has any tips for pressures set up etc I really don’t have much clue what I am doing in that area. I did change tyres to the troffino ones, I think that helped. Registered as player as no internet connection tonight .

Re PSI. I look at the pressure of each tyre after a couple of laps, and raise or lower each one so they're all about equal.

Then if they get too hot I'll up the overall pressure, or lower the overall pressure if they're too cold.

I'm not in front of my PC but remember the pressures while driving were 31-32 for each tyre, and they were all green in temp.

The default psi was too high and after adjusting each tyre some tyres were going cold.

Will post what pressures I used tomorrow if anyone wants to know (I'm pretty new at this so willing to accept I'm doing everything wrong).

Thanks Pretend Racer, although the Performante is not included, I used the Aventador Trofeo, 32/33psi and had loads of fun trying to get them all equal, but no time to discuss now...COME ON LIVERPOOL!

 

After about anhour of racing and some slight setup changes I could not improve. Tomorrow is another day. Come on GINI and VIRGIL!!!
