Removed the slightly silly "dash3" 908 LH skin and replaced it with this one (you will have to delete the dash3 skin folder manually if you already downloaded it.)

based on this 906 LH livery

 

If we use a similar combo to yesterday again in the future it might be worth trying the Exige S Roadster and M4 Akrapovic instead of the normal M4 and Evora S S2.

 

I briefly tested the standard M4 yesterday and it's a horrible car to drive which was quite surprising because I don't remember it being like that when I last time drove it (a year ago or so). I guess it's just one of those boring(modern) cars which pace is gained from setup and stability from electronics..

 

It does look a little slow as well, the other version has a few more horses which should help.

 

Server changed to M235i, Xbow R & 2-Eleven at Mugello

 

I enjoyed driving the BMW M235i R in this combo. I had a couple of nice races, although I was distracted for most of the evening

 

I was waiting for a spot to open up and got the KTM.
Wow, that car is sooo much fun, despite a few others saying it's bad.

 

The server filled up fast yesterday! I didn't have time to balance the cars properly. KTM was a bit OP but still it was fun. I could not for the life of me find a way to get by the little Lotus in the M235i. Spent the whole evening looking at the rear of 2-Elevens

I've finally had time to reinstall everything after my C: drive crashed on wednesday.

The cars:

12 U2L places remain: Alfa Romeo GTA, Porsche 718 RS60 Spyder
6 O2L places remain: Porsche 908 LH, Ford GT40

12 cars per class, no limit on car type within a class.

It might be possible to use the Cobra by limiting the size of the fuel tank in the GT40 and 908 but it would be complicated to sort it out, I was also considering the Lancia Fulvia and Jaguar XJ13 but both have sound issues at the moment so for this event we will go with the 4 cars mentioned above.

^ Practice session up again. I might switch the content this evening to a race of some sort (maybe the new Mustang mod?) as it is a bank holiday in the UK. Would still love to see some more people sign up for this event.

I'm going to drive some of the cars tomorrow (excluding the Ford GT ) and put up my registration tomorrow!

 

As much as I really want some U2L cars on track (it would make the race a lot more interesting) you are probably better off with O2L as there are no U2L entries yet. I also have not looked into fuel tank size and refill speed for U2L but will use our old BoP of 40kg ballast on the GTA.

The 908 looks to be the faster of the O2L cars and IMO it is more stable as well so perhaps better over a long run. The pace so far looks close enough that there will be no ballast but the GT40 will have to add less fuel during the pitstop and refuels faster than the Porsche.

 

On the default set with 100l's the GT40 was, for me atleast, quite alot faster than the Porsche. And it was alot more fun to drive aswell.
So even though I wouldn't go for the obvious badass Ford, I think I'm going to have to anyway

I wonder why nobody seems to use the longer version of the track though, they're equally awesome. I love the long version.
