1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Auto load car setups per track

This is a lazy desire I'm suggesting here.
Basically the idea is: If the car has a setup on a specific track, when I press 'start engine' and the game loads the track and car(s), the setup should also load with it. (if possible, with an option in game settings to tick/untick 'automatically load car setup').

When possible and when with some free time, this would be neat to have. *.* Sometimes I pass on creating a setup for a more competitive car or adjusting the ffb for each car. I'm a casual racer, so for let's say, laziness, I just use a default setup and general FFB for all cars. For me, is quite a chore to have to setup and load each time I'm driving a bit. Thanks a bunch in advance :)

edit: if one doesn't have a setup per track, but instead he only has one setup he saved under Generic, then that should be loaded, unless the track where a player is joining has a setup for it specifically.

I agree, the ability to set a default setup for a certain car and track is very useful, I use it a lot in rFactor.

Quite agree. It would be a nice bit of extra polish.

  6. It'd be nice to get python API functions for setup handling - loading a setup from disk & saving current setup to disk would enable us to implement all of this in apps :)

Don't want to open another thread; talking about multiplayer shared setups. Read on steam forums from a non-customer of the game asking about that feature. He said a belgian race group wanted a new sim and were looking for the multiplayer shared setups feature, saying that was a decisive factor to choose the game. So they went with rf2. Discussion here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/244210/discussions/0/626329186960813192/

I understand that is a niche game feature, but how important could it be? I think he comes from the older sims where this was possible.. but in the end all the older sims had features newer sims didn't include or simplified.

If not, steam workshop for shared setups?

  8. This feature is already available via ptracker / stracker apps :)

Found out I can use the the "last" setup from Generic in the Setup I/O. Works with game restarts. At least this saves me some trouble from constantly having to manually change gain value per car. :)

The problem I'm having is finding where AC gets the "generic - Default" setup from. I think it must be inside the .kn5 for the car... Not being able to auto-load a "favorite" or just save a new default setup is all that keeps me from driving the race cars in Oculus Rift mode. I come up with the same result as @Quffy, save the -last setup, but still when the launcher loads the car up it automatically has the "generic - Default" setup somehow.

Don't save the setup which is called "last". That's the thing, it automatically stores the last setup values you had, next time you use that car select it and load it. But my suggestion to devs is for automatically loaded setup, the same way track and cars load when going to a track. And an option in general to select whether we want it to auto load or not. Thank you in advance if reading this, Kunos devs.

Also would be good to load setup per track on startup, but maybe it is too much asking....

What do you mean, I'm not sure if I understood correctly, but isn't it the same as what I'm suggesting?

  17. Filippo94

I think I misunserstood, you were talking about loading the setup "last" on startup, but that setup is the very last you used the last time with this car, and not the last you used on this combo :). I though you were not implying a setup per track, but it seems I was wrong :D.

  18. Quffy

    Quffy Alien

Yep I'm talking about user created and saved setups per track. Or also user created, but saved under Generic, which means the person wants to use that setup for all tracks.

  19. hi,

did you find any way around this?

  20. Quffy

    Quffy Alien

The "last" setup stores the last values you defined. So don't click save "last", you only need to load it when you use the car. Is under Generic track.

  21. i'm not sure you understand the issue here.

using the rift, i don't have access to the menus or the garage, so i can't load a setup when i get into a session.

when i change something in the setup, it gets reset back to default when i join other sessions.
