Auto load car setups per track

That is why I created this thread, to suggest loading track specific or generic saved setups automatically, without having to manually load everytime. Because for now is not possible, unless there is some game app/windows app software.

 

This would be good, especially with the car specific FFB settings being tied to car setup.

 

I still can't find a way around this... with modded cars, the files are unlocked, so you can actually change the setups in the config files. Just need a little help from Kunos with the official cars.

 

This seems like a reasonably standard feature to me, as has been noted, it is already almost implemented in the 'Generic - last' setup save.

A few tweaks with the way setups are saved to Generic, add auto-load last setup and a tickbox and it's done.

This suggestion could also help dk2 users. Since is too time consuming to make acs.exe menus for dk2, auto loading for a user saved setup could improve the dk2 experience, since I read maybe flag system could be a reality for them, but no promises. So they would have the complete experience.

disclaimer: as far as I know, dk2 users can't change parameters from the default setup, so they can't change ffb for the car, or put some street tyres for drifting and play with the psi, camber etc.

 

That is true @Quffy. If we had the option to save a new Default setup per car, that would be the end of my outside life!

I don't care about adjusting anything for most cars other than the FFB, but there's no way to tell if it's clipping in Oculus mode, either. Maybe @Snjper could get the FFB stats into Rifty somehow...

 

If you'd adjust the ffb with a normal screen, then put on the dk2 using the adjusted setup, you'd have no trouble. But I know is not possible to auto-load setups while the track and cars are loading into acs.exe. Because then you'd setup the car setup how you'd like with a normal screen, and start the game with dk2 already with the car setup. And option in General whether we want our setup to load automatically, or use the car default.

 

Sorry for offtopic but I am curious - Did any dev ever show up in suggestions forum? This section is very well hidden but some great stuff is to find here.
I feel they dont check their own forum at all (propably to keep away from all the drama going on every day), someone should compile a list of such usefull and presumably easy to implement suggestions from this forum and send it to stefano via twitter.
