Casting Call - JP Pack Film MP Sessions - Drivers, Drifters and Semi Drifters needed

Howdy friends,

I am working on a rather long film focusing on the JP Pack (street) plus JP mods (street). The big thing I want for the footage is for the cars to be almost always together as a group. That's not something that can be achieved with AI. So I am really hoping some of you guys would like to take part in some MP sessions for the film.

When I get these sessions together, it is usually not going to be a race.

An example of some of the scenes I would like to do:

Cars parked in parking lot, lined up.
Short burnouts
Short donuts
Revving engines
Lined up on Lake Louise Highway idling - then revving up and down and launch
Cruising several of the Lake Louise layouts - slowest car always up front, fastest in back. Cars behind always pushing and screwing with cars ahead.
Hooning - drifting -probably on Modena

So that's just a snippet. To get all the footage I would like it would probably take like 6 MP sessions about an hour long.

I would probably try to coordinate this on Saturdays at 6 PM GMT-- 2 PM Eastern U.S. We would need to use TeamSpeak to communicate. You don't have to have a microphone, but would be helpful.

Requirements:

Not an Ahole - that rules a number of you out ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Not a new forum account--created this week or later.

If your forum account status is "Rookie" post a video of you drifting a JP street (non drift) car on Modena.

Follows Director's instructions
Gearhead
Like JP Street cars
Can use TeamSpeak
Good internets connection - 200 ping and under when connected to Europe server

Pluses:
You can drift Modena or other tracks.

Sounds like fun. I'd like to join but I never tried drifting...dunno if I can pull it off.

 

You do not have to be a drifter

Join us. Plus I have some very good tips on the Reddit ACFilmGroup page for people not good at drifting.

Take the NSX S1 to Modena. Super good combo to learn drifting. Drift cars are very slippery; hard for people who don't have drifting experience. And the drift tracks are small and narrow, too unforgiving for a beginner.

 

Looking forward to LL cruises, it was always fun following cars and doing stupid crap behind them there - Also a highway shot with traffic could be fun maybe? A striking difference between skinned JP drift cars and just mono color paint would be enough to transform the Levantes/R34's/Mitos etc we have into "traffic"...

I can drift but i'm a bit of a rebel when it comes to lines/speeds so i was never "good" in close tandems unless it was really tight/slow corners...
ps: lower track grip could help here (and other non full time drifters here) by slowing things down.

 

No way in hell is the R34 going to be "traffic."

 

Cool idea! I have learnt how to drift in the last 2 months or so.... I probs enjoy drifting more then racing atm which is very odd indeed.

 

I'm calling dibs on the R34 right now.

And just a thought: it would be nice to have the server open like half an hour before, so people can mess around and get in the groove before driving more seriously for the recording.

Also just made some tandem drifting in pub server, dang i've not even noticed how much easier it got recently (due to suspension/tyre fixes) I'll definitely rebuild my HB now
But single screen and 52° (or even 60°) FOV is still quite a bit not enough for me to see the other car properly when door to door drifing... (so i tend to unwillingly overtake on the inside due to not enough angle) anybody more experianced has some tips for following?

edit: if Andy wants tuned ハチロク i can take drift one (if there is a need for two versions - for skins etc)

 

if we can make requests id love a tuned ae86 or 1jz 180sx

 

Pick one. Bare in mind the 180sx will be a lot harder to handle on Lake Louise and the like. Although there is the option of switching up cars in different segments. It looks like we will have to do that.

I called dibs on the 370z... oh yeah! I was going to hop on the NSX, but I think that car belongs in the hands of a better driver than I - especially to drift that baby around corners.
