1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Generic Control any car during race or hotseat-mode (single PC/Console multiplayer)

Do you have any friend coming to your home playing Assetto Corsa?
The best you can do is to share the same car for a race or do some hotlaps to see who's faster.

WHAT IF YOU COULD ACTUALLY SHARE DIFFERENT CARS DURING A RACE?
It's what goes closer to a multiplayer race on a single PC/Console.

PERFECT FOR CUSTOM CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH YOUR FRIENDS!

    See how:

    1) SIMPLE APPROACH. No big coding, I guess.

    a) CTRL+C to let the AI to take control of your original car.
    b) CTRL+NUMPAD1 or 3 to scroll among previous and next cars. CTRL+NUMPAD2 to go back to your car.
    c) CTRL+C once again to take control of the new car.
You can decide with your friend/s when to make the pilot swap.
Would be nice a 5 sec countdown on screen before giving back the driving to a human driver.

    2) GRAND PRIX by Geoff Crammond HOTSEAT MODE APPROACH . Some coding for sure.

    a) A dedicated page (Custom Championship-like) where you can select how many human driver will play. How many turns for each player during a race (0 = manual). Basing on the number of laps you select, Assetto Corsa will automatically split the turns for each human player. It works best selecting more laps. Last but not least each player will select a specific car among the ones selected for the race.

**If you select 3 human players, 9 laps and 2 turns per player, each human driver will drive about 3 laps.
Max number of laps in a raw a human player can drive is 3 (or you can even modify this option).

This way, you can even create your own Custom Championship inviting your friends at home using the same steering wheel, joypad or just the keyboard.

It can turn a boring home-alone single player mode, into a funny party with friends with beer and simracing!

WHAT IF YOU CAN ADD MORE THAN JUST ONE DRIVER PROFILE?
This way it would be easier to add your friends into the game.

As you can see when in the Custom Championship you erase all the opponents, it remains only your car (player profile), but if you could add more than one player profile, you could add your friends as well.

    What do you think guys?
Put a like in case the idea intrigues you :)
