1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

  1. Just like many have said, on paper rF2 has everything I could hope for but at the same time there apparently have nothing that keeps me driving the damn game. And I have no idea what this "nothing" is..

Part of me is hoping for this deal to be the fresh start for rF2 but I'm just wondering why they doesn't re-brand the core with DX11, well-thought content, build a product around it and sell it as a new game. I feel like there's just way too much work to do to make rF2 popular anymore. I personally think that train passed long time ago...

I reckon ISI may well have come to exactly the same conclusion and are working on "not rF3" ;):)

  3. True but I was more interested about Luminis role here. They have to see something I don't if they think the game is worth investing money and development time. Luckily I don't have to make such choices. Hoping the best for Luminis too. :)

I wish them luck because competition is always a good thing. It keeps development flowing and it keeps prices in check (usually).

According to some of the most rabid rf2-fanboys rf2 cant have good looking graphics because of how complicated its physics are. I wonder if these guys will keep playing on an old build once the updated graphics is out. :)

Its nice to see EB back, have been missing his videos. :)

He does not do them so often anymore, and not so many different titles, it seems. Sad, he did some very good review and remarks videos in the past. His video on AC' console announcement last year, was very reasonable and sober.

He have been doing 5 videos in a week so hope hes back! He also said in one of these new videos that he had a new pc since a couple of months and audio issues, so hopefully he will be back and those are fixed. :)

For all that is worth Skybird it's a good physics engine. Needs some tweaks in the tm (road cars *cough*), but hey...;)
A rF2 title with a license for a full series, as they hinted would be quite a seller me thinks.

Just like iRacing, RF2 lost me at the first step, which was purchasing the thing in the first place. The whole online pass thing for £40 or whatever was a nonsense and I refused to buy into it. If the title was just a regular priced game, I would have likely made a purchase, however having to pay 100 quid for the base game just seemed like greed to me.

The funny thing is I got RF2 at the early access point as I was into Rf1 and other ISI based sims before that, I only got the 1 year thing but as EA went quite a bit longer I think it ended up around 2 years of online. At the end of that point I saw no reason to resub for online as it was fairly close to dead already and it was clear many wouldnt renew online after that point so it would get worse then close to dead. I think this is where ISI really missed the boat charging for MP access when you weren't even using their servers, its not like they were doing anything close to Iracing in MP and its MP that would have kept it more alive but they did their best to kill that off. The lifetime price was way over what the game was genuinely worth at the time and they could have simply charged for future content which would have done better then charging for mp access. Why would I buy RF2 pay extra to simply host my own servers which I again would be paying for, then simply paying ISI extra to allow me to join my own servers and then these will get less use because of that silly idea resulting in reduced MP useage due to the mp pay wall.

They bring back the rF1 tire model alongside the rF2 tire model. They say that's to try and revive the vanishing modding community by removing an entrance barrier, as the rF2 tire model seems to be much to complex to make good use of it anyways without spending a whole lot of time with it. The stock content will still be on rF2 tire model.

They also mentioned the possibility of writing a converter for rF1 to rF2 tire model. I imagine they first want to gauge interest to estimate the value vs. time investment required.

  18. Just downloaded current (refreshed) RF2 demo... - :( sad to say but it still looks worse than AC, physisc seems not as good as AC (anyway much better than some time ago when was similar to driving on ice), FFB is much worse than AC...

I've spent a couple of weeks tuning the FFB to my liking for a particular car. Then I'll download something else and the whole process starts again. Mostly I just can't be arsed with tweaking settings, I just want to drive.

With AC Kunos have done most of the FFB tweaking for me it seems.
