1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Well the F430 FFB Wheel only has 270° rotation so that could count for some of it I use 900° on my T500 the guy in 1st also had couple aids on but most of it is cos there god dam aliens :D
I got 280 hours in AC and im still not that fast but a lot would come down to a good setup lots of practice at the combo.

Im #92nd at that combo my sector time that you have marked is 53.472

You do realize that driving without ABS and TC allows you to slow down and accelerate faster? And there's nothing wrong with using aids, we're not living in the 80s and 90s anymore, if you want to win/compete with the faster drivers, ofcourse you want your car to be easy to handle. You're just acting like an *** if you talk trash about someone who's using aids that make your car more stable.

There is a bug in RSR live timing, or at least it happens to me. If I change car/track, the RSR app thinks I am still with the previous track/car combo. If the new combo happens to have lower lap times, you can accidentally put a WR. I delete them as soon as I notice it, of course. The bad news is that the new erroneous PB overwrites the previous legit one, and if you delete the erroneous one, you start from zero in that track/car combination.

It would be nice if they added a column with the total distance of the lap, anyway.

BTW, I have searched the forums but noone seems to have the same issue.

i started my little investigation on this. the driver pascal kemmer is a member of the assetto germany board. www.assettocorsa-forum.com
so i began to read some threads in this board and i cant believe what i saw there. these guys change the surfaces of the tracks in order to gain more grip.
for instance the slippery green areas in imola dont provide enough grip for them so they changed the grip value and uploaded the manipulated files on their servers.
that does explain that time set from a not even medicore driver.:eek:
btw he even showed off with a 1:31:xx at nuerburgring with the mercedes f1 mod - 3 sec faster than the actual WR...

    he is also registered here

would be interesting to hear a statement from himself :D

I've heard of people doing this but as far as I know RSR frown on it and will delete any times they find cheating like this. It's not going to do them any good in a race on a server with proper settings, I wouldn't worry too much about people like that, they always get found out and their pseudo fame won't last for long.

If you are driving a 98T,...you are not driving todays tech.
Using ABS & TC against a driver who is not using it,...is NOT racing.

The Codemasters Racenet F1 2013 ladders are full of astounding times, apparently done with hacks ( 300% power etc.), so there will always some who don't play fair. I usually look at the bell curve in the RSR results to see what typical mortals are getting. I have seen some pretty interesting times in RSR, too.

this is a big thing to solve. if we want a serious WR-Challenge there is a need of a checksum-controlled content. so a solution would be, that for a special wr-list we must download a fixed content which is not modable. and than there must be a choice for fixed aids. than there could be more wr for the same track and car with "custom aids" or "no aids". and if someone wants to mess only with people driving without aids, than this list would be his/her representative list.

and people who want to mess with cheats, or how good there cheats are could use the list "god mode"!

  17. Just out of curiosity.......what would you guys consider to be very good lap times for mortals at the official tracks? By this, I am referring to a percentage when compared to WR times on RSR Live. My first order of business has been to post lap times within 105%, but I am hoping to be able to get down to 103% or better with more practice. I know that I will never match the alien times, but that doesn't matter. I also know that I am totally clueless when it comes to setups! I have been racing online in GT Legends and P&G for nearly seven years, and I still don't know more than the basics as far as setups are concerned. That being the case, I want to see how far I can get with the default setups of each car before I even think about picking up a spanner! :D

To me its easier to compare against people you know than against wr %.

Isn't the rule in most race series that you have to be within 107% of the lead time? So that's a good benchmark to start with and means you're good enough to race. 103% usually means you're in the top ten when qualifying for organised online races. Chasing RSR times won't help your race craft though. It's one thing to be fast but it's another thing to be consistently fast over 20 laps.

  20. I am generally very consistent in P&G3 racers. In fact, consistency is my main strength rather than outright speed. I don't particularly chase RSR Live WR times. I just like to see how far away I am from them :)

Evidence the top 14 are cheaters (they're all like that apart from one if I remember correctly) or just a glitch?

As you can see on the first one he did -27 invalid laps and drove 421km in 6 laps (or 33 if the -27 figure is incorrect) while the second one did 9 laps with +2 invalid (11) which equals 309km? Makes no sense.
