1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

    Then disable things you don't like or complain if they didn't implement a switch if and once they implemented these features simulating aspects of racing you don't like. I don't understand the resistance of some people against a more thorough simulation. Why are you in the simulation genre then? And this isn't about the devs and if it's technically feasible or sensible to implement as they decide over that, you purely asked about how it will "improve the enjoyability of the game". And I answered. That's why I like the simulation genre.

    Brake simulation will help as people who abuse their brakes trying dive bomb into corners, eventually their brakes over heat and they have to back off letting you pull away from them.

    I'm not sure about this my self. I mean an F1 car idling without airflow for 15 minutes might blow up it's engine, but compared to other features on the list seems incredibly minor.

    I have no issue with something that can be disabled being in the simulation. The thing is time and efforts will be spent on that rather than finally getting this thing to a version 1.0 deserving state.

    i wish we could get listening servers or at least some improved ability/simplicity of creating lobbies. i want to play maps that i have that no one creates lobbies with in modes and with cars no one creates lobbies with. i dont want to have to spend an entire day setting up a dedicated server either.

    Also Trento bondone with the ability to race another person point to point, also a Trento Bondone reverse would be amazing

    "false start/engine stall" - but this should mean also (as an added other realism thing to that), that we finally can spin the wheels in 1st and probably even 2nd gear when putting the pedal to the metal !
    As it is now and always was, nothing happens when applying full throttle in 1st or 2nd gear (unless you use clutch + high revs) even on high powered cars.
    It's like an invisible clutch or power managament ("traction-control") as it is now the case (and always was), when standing or rolling and then applying full throttle. The wheels should start to spin..., but nothing like that happens.
    This should change. Always was a realism complain of me and also my bro ;).
    I know this just had been simplyfied to make the driving life easier or less frustrating, when stepping on the pedal -on low speeds-, but how about a 'switch' ? It doesen't affect laptimes, so it would completely not interfere with such at least (an option/switch to choose that behaviour).

    one might think VR is winning, but it's actually losing.

    why? how?

    because if you sum the votes of the other options that are actually for a better simulation, VR has less than half of votes.

    so far, VR has 1085 votes against 2565 votes of people asking for actual simulation improvements.

    If you aren't using the clutch to start you're effectively using the starter motor to accelerate, which doesn't have enough power to spin the wheels. The engine doesn't shut off like in games with a keyboard shortcut for 'start engine' but below stall rpm, it has only starter torque to accelerate the engine.

    If you did the same pedal movements with engine stall enabled then it would just stall (or, if you hold starter motor button, drain the battery & accelerate slowly, like it does).

    What good is any of these updates if you can't sit in the car? No ones going to use any of this stuff because using a screen feels like Gran Turismo. Maybe Kunos could waste a bunch of time making the thumb pad vibrate better well their at it.

    But you were talking about it being enjoyable or not. Dev time being invested into it is a whole other story but Stefano already said that they are looking into bringing all of them into the game eventually and he made the poll and the choices in the first place. And I already said, my answer was in disregard to if it's feasible, sensible to implement eventually or at all. They already mentioned in the 1.5 dev diary that they are evaluating it with a brake manufacturer so we'll not see it for a while probably. Also, if a more thorough simulation is not up your alley, what is? What would contribute to "finally getting this thing to a version 1.0 deserving state" in your opinion (honest questions)? Though you should probably talk about the items on the list as Stefano already made it clear that talking about core features and wish lists is off the table in this thread.
