1. Do you need support for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Please use the proper forum below and ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Logs" folder in your c:\users\*youruser*\AppData\Local\AC2\Saved. The "AppData" folder is hidden by default, check "Hidden items" in your Windows view properties. If you report a crash, ALWAYS zip and attach the WHOLE "Crashes" folder in the same directory. Do not post "I have the same issue" in an existing thread with a game crash, always open your own thread. Do not PM developers and staff members for personal troubleshooting and support.
  2. As part of our continuous maintenance and improvements to Assetto Corsa Competizione we will be releasing small updates on a regular basis during the esports season which might not go through the usual announcement process detailing the changes until a later version update where these changes will be listed retrospectively.
  3. If ACC doesn't start with an error or the executable is missing, please add your entire Steam directory to the exceptions in your antivirus software, run a Steam integrity check or reinstall the game altogether. Make sure you add the User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione folder to your antivirus/Defender exceptions and exclude it from any file sharing app (GDrive, OneDrive or Dropbox)! The Corsair iCue software is also known to conflict with Input Device initialization, if the game does not start up and you have such devices, please try disabling the iCue software and try again. [file:unknown] [line: 95] secure crt: invalid error is a sign of antivirus interference, while [Pak chunk signing mismatch on chunk] indicates a corrupted installation that requires game file verification.
  4. When reporting an issue with saved games, please always zip and attach your entire User/Documents/Assetto Corsa Competizione/Savegame folder, along with the logs and the crash folder (when reporting related to a crash).

Little drift tutorial

Normally it is due to relatively high entrance speed. Enter the corner in normal(relatively low) speed. Engine RPM might be around 4k. Keeping the steering angle, give a full throttle only with accelerator during cornering. This is not the only way buy maybe the easiest way to make oversteer.

I have question for those who think they cannot drift in AC. How do they manage to let's say with an E92 M3 or 458 on streettyres, to get fast laptimes @ any track in pro mode anyway?

If I take a 458 on streetyres in pro mode(the only mode I use) out for a spin/hotlap, there almost always is some small oversteer/sliding involved. I'm not talking about showboating, but just purposeful making use of the back sliding a bit in a bend/trailbraking whatever.

    I did a 1:59 something lap with a F40 S3 @ Mugello. And the car was sliding a lot.

Who said? If everything is under control you're not going fast enough.:)

In short: I countersteer a lot lol.

Edit: For instance you take the L49 @ Silverstone which is a wide track. The car initially understeers but with power on you can make beautyful slides AND keeping an eye on the pointing of the frontwheels as well. Also steer /look where you WANT to go, not where you're heading(rule one also in real life drifting) So just don't keep on looking at the lamppost/tree you're heading for, but steer where you want to go:)

    Cheers

The problem with drifting is there's no real easy way to learn, you can only throw your self into it and hope you come out the other side alive. If you find you are always doing really sudden and quick movements to react to the car you still have a bit of learning to do. You won't ever be able to drift properly if you are not able to predict what will happen, reacting will just get you frustrated and make you very tired. To me this is the most important thing and the only way to learn is practice.

One small tip that may not be obvious to a beginner is when you leave off the throttle in a drift you usually have to steer in to keep the car from straightening.
